I wonder how much grammar will change within the next 50-100 years...With so many people identifying as gender fluid, transgender, bigender, etc., I wonder if new pronouns will be created for those who identify as such? Would be interestiing..
Merilly repliedIf people invent new pronouns I will probably start calling everyone "it", "them", and "they". No offense, but it's not always easy to see what people identify as and it will become even more of an issue if there are more pronouns. (I sometimes can't even tell if a person is male or female...)
Forever repliedI can sympathize with you there, Merilly. It really is difficult to tell what gender some people identity with, unless you ask them. Things aren't like they were in the 1920s or earlier, when any woman who didn't wear a dress to her heels was judged harshly by society, and a man had better look "manly"! In this age, people are more free than ever to express themselves the way they want to, and although it's beautiful thing, it can sometimes be...rather confusing.
Forever repliedCase in point: I was ringing up a family recently (I'm a cashier) And the mother was carrying what I assumed was the couples daughter. (Little girl shoes/ clothes, etc. ) But I upon striking up a conversation, the mother made a point to mention that their (daughter)? was actually their son. I thought asking why he was dressed up as a little girl would be prying, so i didn't ask, but it just goes to show that you really can't assume anymore, eh?
Merilly repliedI tend to agree. There are so many gender identifications, and there will probably even more coming, that it would be hard to assume anything at all. Personally, I treat pronouns as a sex identification that has nothing to with gender but the biological disposition. Of course problems arise with that as well, but to a lesser extent. ^^'

Man I seriously need to buy some new Nintendo 3DS games. I 've noticed that I haven't bought any new 3DS games this year lol. Last game I boughtfor my 3DS was Pokmon OR/AS. Think I'll try to pick up Luigi's Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing New Leaf since I heard they're good games.
WakingDawn96 repliedAnd, not saying you have to, Yo-Kai Watch is a good game on the 3DS. It isn't like Pokemon for the most part gameplay wise, but it is still a game you can relax in for a few moments.
WakingDawn96 repliedYeah, I have Yo-Kai Watch and it is different from Pokemon but also has aspects of Pokemon, but the two really could stand on their own and be just fine. Plus, Yo-Kai Watch is much more detailed than Pokemon is because of how they make every area in the game have elements of real world life. Plus, YKW even teaches you not to j-walk or you will get in big trouble.

The first game didn't age well and the best two games in the series are SMT3 Nocturne on Ps2 and SMTIV on 3DS

I have a stupid essay due tomorrow for my writing class, but my depression is hitting me so hard I really don't want to do it. Honestly, I'm already failing that class and I know doing this essay isn't going to raise my grade at all. Should I honestly even do it?
Dracozombie repliedFirst of all, shame on them for assigning the deadline the day after Thanksgiving holiday (assuming you live in the states). Second, it might be worth it to at least turn in SOMETHING. If you think you're already failing, why make it worse? At least this way they can see you're putting in some kind of effort.

We literally barely had any time to work on the essay in class, especially since Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving) was a half day and my writing class is the last class of the school day, so Wednesday we didn't get any time at all to work on it in class with the teacher. I'm working on the essay now, but it's honestly so complicated because the teacher is so backwards. For this essay he wants us to be creative, but he told us about this student so...

Huh, well it only makes sense, right? I mean a person who identifies as both Male and Female, would feel more at home with a specific pronoun, I would think....It seems somewhat De-humanizing to just say "them" or "they" all the time.
