So we might be getting kicked out in the next few weeks. I might be at uni most of the year so it doesn't affect me all that much but my poor family, especially my parents, do not need this stress. It's not fair on them.

But the apartment is still under my uncle's name, it was never changed. So they're saying it's fraud. MyDixieRect repliedYep we've been paying them all these years, so I don't see an issue, it's not like we killed him. We even flew him over here today so he can defend us but that didn't work.

Javelin434 repliedLegally, it's considered fraud if your uncle didn't list your family members as dependent residents/family members on the residency documents for the apartments. The post office/utilities have no legal authority over this but they can help you thanks to the paper trail it leaves. This has happened to me before and it involved a legal battle
Javelin434 repliedBasically what you have to do is prove that your uncles apartment is your main form of residence. There was something else, and I forgot the name of the paperwork involved, but that should be the way to help your family out

Javelin434 repliedDon't thank me just yet. Get this taken care of first. I'm fairly certain that if worse comes to worse and your family has to live with you for a while, you'll have to file paperwork allowing your family in your dorm, otherwise it'll be a repeat incident
MyDixieRect repliedYou still deserve a thanks either way. Whether it works or not it was still good advice. Would be pretty douchey for me to go "Well it didn't work, so no thanks 4 U!!!!!" I don't live in a dorm though, I live in a student house with 4 other people. Here in the UK after freshman year you move into houses with fellow students. The landlord doesn't even allow us to bring an overnight guest so I don't see us convincing him to let my family with 4 other...

Middle School was the worst community of students I've ever experienced. But I have to say, I've made the most friends in that 3-year period (6,7, and 8th grade). I guess you make better friends in unexpected ways.
Gwynbleidd repliedAgreed. High school wasn't great either. There were many idiots, but there were many people that felt the same way and so were easy to become friends with. P.S I don't know why I hadn't added you yet.
Veemon repliedHaha You know it! There was just so many people who acted pretty annoying that I had such a hard time making friends, but when I met the ones who felt like they were in the same situation as me, we were able to become friends so easily.
I guess it was because it takes time to form friendships with people you barely know.
You're a good person. 
Gwynbleidd repliedIt's often the people that are most annoying that I'm glad I am not friends with. These people are that type that are so careless with education, but don't realise how important it is. Anyway, enough about that!
