    Lately I've been keeping up to date on recent news for Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and it seems Danny Elfman has been brought onboard to add "additional music." As I read the article, it mentioned that Mr. Elfman was the one who composed the original Spidey theme for the Sam Raimi trilogy. Hmm, I wonder if there's a connection here? O.o

    @Aang The only problem is that most situations don't potentially end with a team of armed soldiers showing up and pointing guns at your family, all because someone thought it'd be funny to hear a streamer face a life or death situation.

    I fail to see how they take joy in watching/listening to someone nearly get shot just because they wanted to have fun and let people watch them play a game. They just want to connect with an audience, but they end up having to worry about things that should NEVER be a risk for a harmless act. Every swatting story I read makes me even more angry at these types of people.

    Totally agree. And the worst thing about it is that the higher powers aren't really doing anything about it. They'll only pay attention once someone is killed because of this. It doesn't help that in the latest swatting incident, a gun was pointed at the streamers little brothers. After that happened, the streamer had to explain that on camera, crying. All he was doing was a sort of donation stream, playing Runescape.

    I actually read that story and saw the video. The comments just made it worse. "Lol, baby, crying on camera." "You're just trying to get attention." It's a shame so many people don't realize the dangers behind swatting. Something needs to be done to stop it soon.

    So true. Anybody should be upset and cry when a gun is pointed at someone they love. If this keeps up, well, us streamers would have to inform our local police departments of what we're doing, how swatters work, and hope that they are informed of what could happen so that their time isn't wasted every time we stream. I hope that won't be the case.

    It's not fun anymore. Having stupid teenagers ruin Game Night. arresting or hurting someone, and wasting the polices time for...

    I'm not a streamer, but it's something I always wanted to do when I got the proper equipment. Swatting has turned me away from it now, out of fear for my loved ones. Like you said, at this point, people will have to call police departments just to let them know about swatting...

     

    And yeah, it's pathetic seeing the swatters get caught and arrested.

    @Shulk, My point was that in life there is risk in everything we do. Look at how many get swatted and compare that to how many don't, meaning how many streamers are out there that never ever did get swatted
