    wow! mesprite was hard to catch. i guess its my fault for deciding the play the game with only pokeballs and 1 master ball for deoxys. xD

    Yeah, i had the same thing with azelf. i goofed and forgot to save before the encounter, so loosing it was not an option. i ended up using 15 revives, 5 full restores, and 18 ultra balls before i had it. (he get three nasty plots set up and just OHKO'd my whole team)

    oof. sry dude. i also forgot to sae with creselia. and i fainted it because i forgot my scizor with false swipe. luckuly all i did after last time i saed was get audinite so i could easily do it again. and back to mesprite, scince i only used pokeballs, i ended up using like 40 of them. but i had an extreamly deffensive scizor on my team so mespritr wiping me out was not possible. xD i still have to catch all the other mirage pokemon tho. with only pokeballs. O.o

    for a few reasons that would take a while to explain but mostly because i feel that its the original and not only looks iconic but it also doesent feel like im paying more money to win. i feel that if i use regular pokeballs then i can catch the opposing pokemon with more authenticity and less unfairness. im not callng ultra balls unfair its just that i feel like pokeballs with stat boosts cheapen the experience that catching pokemon is supposed to provide. and the master ball i allow because...

    you only get 1 master ball and you have to make it count. i love that. it delivers so much of a different feeling than any other pokeball and sometimes i think it shouldent even be put into the same category because of the drasticly different mindset that comes with the master ball.

    The series is actually called Mother, they changed the name outside Japan for whatever reason.

     

    Also, EarthBound (Mother 2) is a fantastic game. It's a shame the first and third never made it out of Japan.
