I'm about to start the new semester and they just had to put the exam one week earlier for dubious reasons. I'm thrilled. ^^' Otherwise it's going well.

Biology always contains a lot to memorize so every day can make a difference. It's an exam about animal cell biology.

I don't want to create a list where you've played 90% already.Shuy repliedI've never really been good at biology in high school but I get your point. I've been studying for this one for a while, so I'm prepared for it and would rather just get it out of the way.
Hmmmm..Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash NSANE, Nioh, Everybody's Golf, Tales of Berseria and I think that's it. I don't really buy a lot of games, I'm very picky.
Merilly repliedWhat kind of exam are you preparing for? I can see why you would want to have it out of the way... I'm not good at storing facts that's why I can only study two weeks before the actual exam.
What are your preferences? Regarding genres, plot and characters? Gameplay and graphics requirements?
Merilly repliedArchaeology is pretty interesting. I'm not fond of traveling and digging, but the analyzing part is fascinating. Like dating things back to a certain era, figuring out what things were used for... I like that idea.
Hm what do you think about Bloodborne? Or Persona 5? NieR: Automata? I know Bloodborne is far from being cartoony, but the game is pretty impressive in its design. I'll also look through my games again to see what I can suggest.
Merilly repliedI can understand that interest. Mainly because it's the foundation for the present and without some of these things, our life would be quite different.
Personally, I think Nioh is very far off from Bloodborne. There may be instances where the style overlaps, but if I had to say, Nioh is leans more toward the Japanese culture and Bloodborne more toward visualization of Lovecraft's works?

Guys, what should I do? An instructor at my uni has a huge bias against video games and at one point told me to stop playing video games. I feel so conflicted right now. I want to keep playing video games, but at the same time, I want to listen to him

Merilly repliedThe instructors and lecturers at university don't know everything and to be honest, most of mine don't care what the students do in their free time or even at university. One of my professors absolutely loves video games, even wrote a 500 pages thesis about them. You can't live up to every lecturer's expectations so don't feel obliged to change.

So long as it's not hurting anyone and not interfering with your work then you should continue to do what you like to do. There is no reason to listen to him just because he doesn't like video games.
