    Never finished The Stand either. last one i read was Dr. Sleep...wasn't the scary big wet your pants he'd promised...but it was something I couldn't put down it was great.

    I haven't read the book at all but I hear that it is actually better than the movie, although Tim Curry makes one hell of a Pennywise.

    Yeah it goes into ALOT more depth and detail about the kids past and what exactly happened and how they matured. Though there is a scene in there that might be off putting depending on how you view sex and stuff. Well....it more or less is like, the kids when they were young had to throw away all childhood things to face this thing first time around....and the bullies' deaths who died and weren't put in the nuthouse....are a lot more gruesome.
