    I do believe it's our old friend from the beginning of the game. He was so much easier to beat down on back then.

    Right?! xD The strategy guide says (if you want to know- if not don't keep reading xD) stay with Relentless Assault until it uses Wave Cannon, in which case switch to Diversity/Solidarity to have a Medic throughout the Crystal Rain attack. When your party is healed up, and its performing vertical Plasma Bursts on individual party members, you can switch back to Relentless Assault. Return to a defensive paradigm once a single character's HP drops to around 60%, or if it's about...

    to perform Wave Cannon and Crystal Rain. Apparently doing this will beat it in under two minutes and stagger it twice, but it's been a while so I'm just taking its word for it xDx
