Would you want a remake of this game?

Posted

So I saw a thread asking if anyone would want a remake of this game for the 3ds and people seemed to be against it and I was too since there would be no reason to keep it on a handheld if they remade it. But I wouldn't be totally against the idea of this game coming out on console because, personally, games on consoles always seem better than on handhelds, so even though I think coded is somewhat ok right now I think it could be better with it being remade for console.

A good example, IMO, is chain of memories. When it came out for GBA I bought it because my all my friends had it and they convinced me to get it. When it was remade I got it first day and I played through both stories on all difficulties, I was addicted to it. That isn't the perfect example because chain of memories was my first KH title so I didn't know what to expect, and by the time it was remade I had already played the crap outta KH 1 and 2, plus I was older and could appreciate it more.

Anyway I kinda strayed away from my question. Would you want it on console? Why or why not.

There isn't really much point to remake a remake. They got all they could out of Re:Coded for the DS, there isn't really much else they could add to it.

I voted yes simply because of the fact that I'mm not getting a DS/3DS if I can avoid it, but I still want to play Coded

  • I felt Re:Coded just wasnt that good. Maybe if they redid days I would get it, but not coded

I don't think remaking a game that was already remade is a good idea. There's only so many times. Maybe if the rumored HD remakes come out, it can be included with Days and BBS. Other than that, it would just be a waste of time.

I'm not dying for a 2nd remake of this game, but I would love a 3ds remake of 358 2 days!

We don't need a Re:Re:Coded o3o. Plus this game is so recent and it's insignificant to the story. The secret ending could just be put into some other game....

Chain of Memories was made a long time ago and it put some backstory so a remake was a good idea.

Not really i played Re:Coded and it was super frustrating personally with all the gameplay changes it got annoying.

I would seriously love a 358/2 Days remake on consoles to do the game justice i love the game but the ds just couldnt handle it.

Nope

As others has stated: Why to remake game which has already been remade

Anyway, I don't even need remake of games I already have beaten

We don't need remakes,we need Kingdom Hearts III and NOW! :D

The only reason I'd want this to be remade would be to make it look better or put it on a home console, so I'm saying yes. But it doesn't need it and I would much rather a remake of Days if I'm honest. That's home-console worthy.

I also want a remake of days, I mean have you seen those pixilated characters. I can't even tell whats on axel's face when you look at him.Plus I didn't like coded in the first place.

I don't give a firetruck about Coded.

So then if there were a remake it would be like Re:Re:Coded haha nah for me this game was kinda just one and done plus its already been remade so there's really no need for a remake ;P

i'd rather they remade days for the 3ds rather than re:coded

i'd rather they remade days for the 3ds rather than re:coded

Why would they remake a game that's compatible with the current system?

Of course i would want, but i would like more if they would make a:

Kingdom Hearts Re: 358/2 Days

With graphics of Dream drop distance

Would it be a Re:Re:Coded? Anyway, it's good idea, thou... but I don't think it would happen. The remake they trully should make is for KH Days. Nomura must be trilled with the WiiU...

Haha, aww. I love my 3DS :)

I thought it was kind of funny to find a thread asking to remake a game that's already been remade ^^ Some of the games better suit a mobile platform. Days (one of the best ones in my opinion) is very suited for a handheld because the missions can mostly be done quickly, so there's no need to play for hours. It suits the DS well. I thought 3D would have been much better suited for a console than a handheld. Just as long as the Drop mechanic is dropped itself >_>

And Re:Chain of Memories didn't work too well on the PS2. CoM should have stayed a handheld, to be honest. They could have remade that for the DS as well, but... I'm not sure if it even existed at the time! xD

So I'd have to go with "no," but of course I'll take any Kingdom Hearts I can get, y'know, when Square decides it's that time to make an actual "good" game again xD

Well I'd like it

Re:Coded is a cellphone game made playable, it doesn't hold its own as a console title.

Wow old thread is old

1. It already got remade from a phone game to a ds game

2. No.

I didn't dislike Re:Coded, but I'd prefer to see other games for different consoles rather than this one.

Hmm... A remake of a remake? This should be interesting...

only the scenes. the gameplay was rather pointless. hopefully in the next kh hd collection

I would actually get Re: Coded if they made it for the console. I played the DS version and I thought it was actually pretty good. In fact, I prefer Re: Coded over Days, if only because Re: Coded got to the point a lot faster than Days did. And it didn't have Roxas acting like a #$@%*$# to Xion when she was FREAKING DIYING!! 'Who will I have ice cream with?' SHE'S DYING YOU IDIOT! I'D THING YOU'D HAVE SOMETHING BETTER THAN ICE CREAM!!

Rant Over

If they put Re: Coded on a console, they'd have to add in a lot of extra content, but all in all, the upgraded graphics and better camera options offered by a console would be worth it.

DEATH TO THE ELIMINATORS! IN HIGH DEFINITION!

While I also prefer Re:Coded to Days, to be fair Roxas wasn't mentally nor emotionally very mature at that point so his reaction was meant to be somewhat childish. Axel didn't know how to explain friendship to him so he said that friends do things like share ice cream together so Roxas took it at face value. Eating ice cream = friendship. Not to mention the shock.

I suppose I can give you that. But there are many ways they could have conveyed that without losing all the 'tear jerking' moment. Or they could have made Roxas slightly more mature. He has been around for a year in the stronghold of 'Super Villains'. You'd think he'd pick up a thing or two. It wouldn't have taken much to change 'who will I have ice cream with' to 'But what about all the ice creams we never shared!' or something to that effect.
