The Unpopular Opinions Thread

Recommended Posts

I think rage comics memes/faces are annoying and unoriginal/overused.

Gangnam style is not a good song in anyway.

Autotune is for people who can't sing.

Pewdiepie is just some annoying guy who yells into a bad mic, and the fanbase(not all) makes him look bad.

and butterscotch is better than chocolate.

I prefer:

Blastiose to Charizard.

Ho-oh to Lugia.

Kyogre to Groudon.

Palkia to Dialga.

Reshiram to Zekrom.

and Xerneas to Yveltal. Call me a contrarian.

I am almost the opposite.

Charizard > Blastoise

Lugia > Ho-oh

Kyogre > Groudon

Dialga > Palkia

Zekrom > Reshiram

Xerneas = Yveltal

music today is awesome

new generations of pokemon > old generations

red meat is nasty

seafood > any food

Imo, I really like the music today, they don't suck at all. I just think that the people listen to the extremely popular songs in the past, because I bet there were over 60+ songs just like today in the past that were bleh.

I like the newer generations of Pokémon much better as well. xD

I dislike how many people always go crazy when I mention I'm a vegetarian, and they try to convert me to eating meat.

In the Persona 4: Teddie is not annoying, he is the best character. And cute :3

The LocoRoco is the awesomest game why brings the childhood.

No genre better than the JRPG-s.

And the new Dante is not ugly, he is hot, and badass.

I believe that anyone who thinks that all ethnicities should be wiped out of the U.S and believe that they are the superior race should seriously go fuck themselves with a jackhammer. Seriously you make a mockery of Americans and made those who fought in World war 2, sacrifices in vain.(Yes I'm talking about the Neo Nazi and kkk )

People like that are just idiots, on the simple basis that the United States is a nation built on immigrants and immigration. Trying to erase all the differing races would result in something akin to 'devolution'.... and there is no pure 'American' - the first people to call themselves that came from the United Kingdom....

Music of today suck. I just wanna shoot myself.

^ I swear this is a popular opinion? O.o

Dr. Phil sucks. I like the show itself, but I think Dr. Phil is honestly a horrible person. He criticizes other people and acts like he's perfect--like he's never fought with Robin or gotten mad at his kids or anything. He never tries to understand the situation from someone else's point of view. He calls the brainwashing victims horrible parents, and screams at parents who yelled at their kids for misbehaving (mind you, all they did was yell, they never laid a hand on the kid) and calls them bad people. He's supposed to be a psychologist--can't he understand someone who was thoroughly brainwashed has no control? That sometimes parents have to scream at their kids after being disrespected and attacked for months? I'm not a psychologist, but to me, that's pretty obvious stuff.

Too many people say, 'Children of today'. And way too many say Technology spoils kids and dooms the future. I hate all of them, just because kids go with technology it doesn't necessarily mean the future is ultimately spoiled. I mean get a life, maybe the good ol' 70s and 60s were awesome, I think all of us need to grow and concentrate and also believe that whatever happens, with the upbringing of a child, it entirely depends on the parent and how they expose the child to technology. Well maybe it also depends on our point of view, but really, just because 'back in those times we didn't have these computers and internet' doesn't mean you have to blame technology for all the shit going down in the world. Then that only means, all of us blaming Steve Jobbs, Bill Gates, William Shockley and all of those people who first ever found Silicon Valley :/

Read this: Blaming technology for ALL and everything is plain stupid and people need to get a life.

Fair enough. I have more of a do-something-amazing-and-be-remembered-forever kind of mentality, so I tend to see things in a harsher light. We could be a lot more productive and advanced of a world if we didn't, say, focus on how to make clothes prettier and the like. We could be teaching kids to grow up and cure cancer or something.

You make a fair point, and of course I don't think this can be resolved, but I thought I may put a quick response forward:

Once you've cured cancer, then what? Einstein created the theory of relativity, but he also helped develop the concept for the nuclear bomb; science is gray, it doesn't somehow make all of our lives worthwhile. Science enables humanity, but it isn't inherently meaningful. An extended life-span is worthless without meaning to fill it. Science is wonderful, but changing the world can, from a certain perspective, be nowhere near as meaningful as changing a single life. Art does that, it creates an exploration and adventure that taps into our emotion and curiousity. Both are useful, and art will never advance our society to the degree of science, but science alone will never make it a society worth living in. We need that personal closeness as much as we need that large-scale advancement.

In 100 years, you may be remembered, but only for your acheivments. You won't be remembered for who you really are, for who your friends see you as, for who you strive to be as a whole. There's a very big difference. Human beings and art may be fleeting but sometimes it's quality over quantity. In my opinion there's room enough to accomodate both.

(I don't mean to go after you, as I know several people have disagreed already, and you make a fair point, but I thought I'd throw in the general rationale that keeps art going in modern society)

In my opinion I think that in every fighting game, there is always desperate asshole in the Ranked match section spamming the same motherfucking attack and that Apparently if you win, they'll just quit and you gain no experience. That pisses the living, burning, shit out of me!I hate it with passion.

**Don't mind me, just another Christian post**I'm starting to get REALLY annoyed about people who take the Bible at face value and claim that it has a ton of inconsistencies and contradictions. Like, I don't have any problem with people who don't think the bible is true- that's fine, believe what you want. But I'm sick of the people who take verses completely out of context and then act all condescending toward Christians with the mindset of "Hurr, I debunked your bible! what are you gonna do about it?" Or even more so, it annoys me when people take verses out of context and make the claim that the bible is evil, and that it supposedly promotes things like murder, misogyny, etc. Do your research before you make these claims, and you'll find that it doesn't promote any of that. **End Christian post/rant* Even though I'm more conservative, I kinda agreed with some part of Obama's plan on gun control. I particularly liked his plan to strengthen the police force, if I remember right. But I still don't understand why people think that banning certain guns is gonna stop criminals from getting their hands on them. After all, since when do criminals care about the law?

Almost Didn't Hit 'Like' Because You Said You Kinda Agreed With President Obama, But I'll Overlook It This Time, :P

..im a feminist
