it was really good.the only thing i didnt like was no melding commands.i know making random DE kinda repalced tht but still.....

Well KH3D wasn't as important so they probably didn't want to make it super impressive. And maybe the concepts they had didn't leave room for flashy-ness.

The world in BBS are small and lacking, and I dont know what you're talking about with the flashiness. BBS didn't have many secret bosses either. I do agree that BBS is smoother for the most part. The frame rate in 3D drops almost constantly.

3D was more about testing new abilities/mechanics (like flow drive) and just bridging the story to KH3.

BBS was basically a fresh start to do what the hell they wanted (with new characters with their own story never really discussed before in other games) so things like shotlock, command melding, new attacks were all added. BBS shouldn't be compared to 3D, it should be with KH1 and KH2 (Nomura himself counts it as KH 0)

Also, BBS came out first, and a number of people complained it was too overbalanced making the player to strong that there was no real challenge, so this was reduced in 3D.

The KH team did not make KH3D, the Osaka team made the game.

Well Nomura did say this game was rushed which explains some of its issues like glitches and such. However some might argue that the game being 'inferior ' is subjective considering some prefer DDD over BBS .

BbS was in the works for approximately 4-5 years before it was released and if you go back and look at old interviews, screen shots, and trailers you can see that it changed considerably much more over time than 3D which was completed in a little more than a year. Personally, I think it's better because the plot was more compact and flowed better. Every point in BBS seemed relevant, the way the characters interacted with the world helped shed the light on who they were. It was a game with all new characters, and it had that as an advantage.

 

DDDs on the other hand only occasionally seemed to have much of a connection between its worlds and its plot. It did best in Tron, because that entire world was Sora dealing with someone he knew about being classified as not having a heart. Then it reminded us about Nobodies. It all wrked. Meanwhile places like Symphony of Sorcery sort of brushed on the idea of Nightmare preventing you from waking up, and then figured they were done.

They only final mix the main titles

like BBS is KH 0

and they did KH1 and KH2.

Games like COded, 358 and DDD aren't the main games

I blame it on FF,like always they give leftovers to kh and there usually half out of there mind.

BBS was in production much longer than KH3D. I think that's what makes the huge difference between the two. They had the time to come up with abilities, more storyline, adjust said storyline, make additional little things for characters, shotlocks (Ultima Cannon is the best), and other extra things. KH3D did have things that made it stand out on it's like the connections of all these said characters to the point you'd probably get a headache. BBS you had to beat everything to bring it into one and find al of those damn Xehanort Reports. I want to see the reports again.

Personally, i dont think 3D is that bad. its no the best of the series but it was a good preparation for KH3 because KH 3 gameplay is connected to this one *wishes for flowmotion*.

Also.BBS is a prequel and KH3D is a sequel so you have no way to say KH3D is not important because it has sooo many plot points and some crucial information

There was something that felt really... soulless about DDD.

 

Like, the other games seemed to have their own liveliness, even CoM which I thought was insanely boring. DDD just felt like I was following a quest marker, I never felt like I had any reason to do what I was supposed to do. Just "'cause".

As Lea said; it's subjective to the person. I personally like Dream Drop a whole lot more than BBS. Then again, I don't believe in the concept of prioritizing and rating KH games. Some aren't as strong of a title as the others but they all weave together to make an incredibly intricate and deep story.

Well the ending of BBS wasn't affective for me as much as KH3D since KH3D has a lot of stuff going on in the last world...though I like Terra's ending despite being so sad.Terra is my favorite BBS character and he was horribly misunderstood by Stupid Eraqus the master of retards....even Aqua who obeyed her master questioned his orders.Gotta hate that light-whore

First, it's effective. It didn't cause a reaction, it wasn't effective.

And personally, I'd agree with your statement that DDD had more going on in the last world than BBS, but that seems more because they didn't pace the game as well. I understand that Sora wasn't far enough in sleep to have the weird stuff going on until the last world, but it just felt like an exposition dump, at the end of the game..I didn't fight my way through 7 worlds so Xehanort could walk around telling Sora how dumb he is. BBS however had the final world a culmination. I had fought through all those worlds trying to stop unversed and defeat Vanitas & Xehanort. The final world tossed some plot at me, but mostly it was like most of the other games, I have a goal for most of the game, and the final goal is me achieving that. DDD gave me a goal, unlock 7 Keyholes and become a Keyblade Master. But I get to the final world and discover that, Wait, that's not my goal, let me give you an in-depth explanation of everything and change your goal. Sora, you need to stop Xehanort! Oh, your done? Well I guess that's it. Riku, you've actually been protecting Sora, so you've been working towards that goal the entire time, now continue. So Riku's story is (in my own opinion) better at the end.

 

Let me say I don't like Eraqus overly much. But he's not a 'master of retards', nor does he fail to understand Terra. Terra doesn't have complete, 100% control over his heart, refusing to tolerate its existence. Eraqus thinks this is bad, and refuses to see Terra as a master as long as this persists. His devotion to is admirable, but misplaced. It leads to his own downfall, but he is a capable teacher, and will do anything for his beliefs,
