    • If I can't wait for the release of a game in English, I end up buying its Japanese version beforehand!

Yup. Mainly when a game doesn't come outside of Japan

I plan to minor in Japanese while in college, so I'd like to play a few once I become good enough at it :D

yup i have played KHFM and KH2FM+ and KHBBSFM. Brought a Japanese PS2 to play KHFM and KH2FM+ i also did buy the PS2 Berserk game but haven't played it yet

I like being able to understand what I'm playing, not just for the story, but being able to tell which item will restore my character's HP and what will cure a status ailment he doesn't have.

Only stuff that doesn't have an official English release or is easy enough that you don't really need to know how to read to play it (e.g. the SNES version of Fortune Street).

Nope not really, the only game I've played in Japanese(with English text of course 'cause lets face it, I'm illiterate when it comes to Japanese) is this one Naruto game(Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, I think it was called) so yeaa!~

well I play Naruto fighting games with the Japaneses voices sometimes man I wish in Kingdom Hearts they had the option to change voices from English to Japanese that would be great I wouldn't mind playing Kingdom Hearts with their Japanese voices

I play anime games with the Japanese audio if that counts lol :)

only if its a game that has no plans of being released in north america and its a game i would love to play like jump ultimate stars

Nope.

Well...yeah since I speak Japanese.

can only say i played kh1fm in japanese, i also played Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 in japanese xD, but when my dad finally mod chipped my ps2 for me, cuz he didn't want me to buy a swap magic, i had gotten kh2fm and found out an english patch was made for it so i played kh2fm for the first time with an english mod

Project Diva 1;2-these has just japanese language.

NIS games, : it has english and japanese language, when i bored, i listen the japanese :D

90% of the game I play are Japanese.

if i knew japanese i would. and i would love to learn japanese

Yeah I mean, who doesn't play those awesome Japanese Pokemon games which are scheduled to be localized a year later

Never did, but I'd love to... once I learned Japanese.

Then again, it's a hard language to learn.

I brought one but I'm still waiting for it to come

I have a game with a Japanese language option. But sadly, I don't really use it, nor do I play any pure Japanese games.

Nope. I studied japanese for several years, but my japanese is really bad and I'd have to look up every second word and it wouldn't be playing but rather translating. I'm too lazy to learn all the vocabulary I need so I doubt it will happen, unless there's a game I want to play very badly.

I played a patched version of bbsfm

How hard is it to learn to read, write, and speak Japanese? I am mainly interested in reading and understanding Japanese to play some unlocalized games.

I prefer playing games I can fully understand. My Japanese isn't too good so I find it hard to play a game in it. But that's just me so eh.
