I've been waiting for KH3 longer than I can remember, but... I always get sad when I look up on a trailer, even on the new one...

 

The graphics aren't... the way it used to be. It's so different.... The game looks so much darker and lifeless in some parts. Sora's nose blends to his face and Donal and Goofy are always "happy"... :s

 

On the newest trailer, we got to see new moves and that's sweet... but the errors, glitches and "faceless emotes" bother me a little.

 

But what kills me the most is that... I'll never get the chance of playing KH3 or any game that comes on the future, because there's no WAY I'm getting a PS4, ESPECIALLY around College time, so... yeah... *sad*.

I think it was more Disney-like on the previous games.

It's still only a trailer, and everything is better than its trailer, especially when it's a trailer from early on.

There're always YouTube playthroughs, too. I've had to do it that way with a few games, and while its not the same, at least you don't get stuck on hard bosses that way? No level grinding can be a plus.

Give it a chance.

I really like the new graphics to be honest. For me, the old graphics are outdated. I really like the gun-like thing, and the Summons. I like the Roller Coaster one. And Rock Titan was HUGE.

ur kidding rite i mean the game has been in developement for a little over half a year so the bugs and glitches should be expected but about not bein able to get it i hafta say that kinda sux but i kno watchu mean with me starting college in January, but i gots me a job so its not too bad

I really like the new look.

 

But bare it in mind that this is still VERY early in development...alot of things can change

 

And about the PS3 thing damn that sucks but KH3 is coming on PS4! oh wait...you probably dont have a chance of getting that one either?

the problem that some people are having with the graphics is because KH skipped ps3 generation.

What we are having now on ps3 are remakes, not new games created from scratch. So the graphics difference between, ps2 to ps4 became too great.

 

Personally im lovin it so far, even thought i dont have problems with the old style, this is the right direction to go now.

Yeah, it's totally not Disney-like anymore with the giant Electrical Parade float summon things mmhmm.

While I won't judge based on the very very very early stage development footage we got

 

I do think that KH3 really never needed that huge graphical boosts

 

Most of Disney's movies(unlike Pixar's) aren't in CGI and 98% of them are in the style of a cartoon

 

Seeing Donald and Goofy looking too realistic even more than the CG endings of KH2 creeps the shit outta me

 

Goofy's nose is longer than usual and Donald is derping 247

 

Sora looks awesome as usual but I liked the anime look he has in Kingdom Hearts 2 more.

 

Also,last thing I wanna say......I know it's early footage but I don't see that huge graphical jumo from what we've seen in the likes of FFXIII and The Last of Us

 

Before you kill me for this,I'm not downplaying the Ps4 by any means I really don't.It's just KH3 could've been just fine being a Ps3 game since Ps3 will last a couple of years more and the series needed more cartoonish style of art rather than a graphical upgrade

 

Twilight Town looks so bleak and dark compared to it's past appearances

I'm not a big fan of the new graphics as well,but its a bit too early to judge the game right now,they will most likely polish everthing to make it look good.

Judging by the nature of that trailer, it looks like a concept video again showing off the new summon/attraction system and some of the combat system.  As for graphical appearances by characters, stages, or bosses keep in mind there is a good chance very little of it makes it to the final version

You have to remember, this game is still in development. So there many be things you don't like about it now, however that is bound to change. I remember back when Drive Forms were first announced, everyone thought Square was crazy! But then it turned out to be an awesome part of Kingdom Hearts 2. Don't judge a book by its cover, especially a book that's still in development.

Of course they're not going to focus on Donald and Goofy's facial animations, they just want to give us a concept of where the game is going. Trust me, I can almost guarantee you that it will be much better when the game actually releases.

They kept the glitches in there, because they probably wanted to make it clear to us that this game is still *very* early in development. By the time it's finished, it'll run just as smoothly as Final Fantasy XV.

That stinks bro, honestly. Still, you have a few years, so you could always save up for it, hopefully!

Conclusion: Don't worry about those graphics and the glitches. It'll turn out just fine. 

I think we all felt some weirdness because this is the first time we saw KH3 on PS4 properly but the last time Kingdom Hearts was on console was on PS2 so obviously we're not used to the graphics but as the time goes we will love it! Actually I am already loving how the graphics are.

I think it feels like a KH game should feel on the next gen!

Sora's costume still hasnt been announced and you are giving out about the graphics? give nomura a break he knows what direction the series needs to go better than any of us.

 

If you ask me the fact that they are utilising the ps4's graphics is going to be a benefit, not a problem and the disney elements were more prominant in that trailer than in the earlier titles, when you look at the stage design and the gags in the summons. This is a kh game in and out and its still in early stages of development so we can expect much much more on top of all that, so dont worry to much, itll be great.

 

 

one thing i felt when i was watching it was my worry about the game fade, the osaka team had produced games that didnt feel like kh games but i'm impressed to see how close this is in feel to the 2 numbered kh games, this felt a lot like a kh game even just watching it, i cant wait to see the final battle engine ^_____________^

Lol, are you for real? There is a minimum of two years left until the game is released, they aren't even close to perfecting it. They haven't made the models more life like in their motions yet because the game is basically still in Alpha, maybe not even that. in the next year to year and a half, we will have a better understanding of the finished product, with all the lighting, graphics and motion effects put in. Have some faith, the game is not done yet. For me, Sora's model and the graphic effect promo picture gives off a cartoon feel that the rest of the KH game just don't, (it must be the cell shading) so i think this feels like how KH is supposed to feel. If you think it's too dark, it just means they haven't put in the right lighting effects in yet, cause if the promo picture of their new style is anything to go by, the game will feel much brighter, when it needs to be.
