Nintendo have announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the Nintendo 3DS. They will both be released worldwide on October 12, 2013.

 

Actually COD just reached as the #1 franchise over EVERYTHING including Star Wars, Battlefield, LOTR, Harry Potter, etc etc etc. 

Not really sure where you got this info but if you search for best selling video game franchises in the world, you will see that mario is #1, pokemon is #2, and COD falls in place way down at #9.

Hey guys, how's it going?  So, with the announcement of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, it seems that these games might be interesting enough for me to want to get back to Pokemon.  Don'g get me wrong, I love the Pokemon games.  The first one I played was Pokemon Pearl.  But after playing a few more of the Pokemon games, I started to outgrow the series.  Not even Pokemon Black and White sated my thirst for much needed evolution in Pokemon.  Has this happened to some of you?  Anyways, just seeing the trailer of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y is enough to convince me to pre-order a copy of the game.  This game might finally renew my faith in Pokemon.  What do you think guys?

 

P.S: Since we're talking about Pokemon, my favorite games are the Ruby Sapphire and Emerald ones, and the game in which I have the most Pokemon info recorded is HeartGold, with a total of 174 Pokemon Obtained.

lol It seems Kingdom Hearts has messed up our minds.

I started out with the very first generation of Pokemon on the game boy colour. I played red/blue/yellow, then silver/gold/crystal, ruby/sapphire/emerald, firered/leafgreen.

Since I didn't had a ds at that time and also was kinda too lazy to get one I stopped playing the main series.

Even after I bought one I didn't continue because to me it's just the same over and over again, the differences being, the bad guys change and there are other pokemon. That's just how it seemed to me. I enjoyed playing mystery dungeon or pokemon ranger since it's a new plot and the gameplay is also different from the main series.

Sure, I got a little bit interested in the new generation. However, at the moment I'm rather unsure whether I'll be getting it when it comes out, but luckily there's still some time left to think about that. If there's anything else, that I think sounds great about the game, next to the graphics, I might buy it.

I'm more looking forward to the next mystery dungeon game.

 

I'm not someone who likes to trade pokemon from different generations, or taking part in different events in order to get all pokemon. So, yeah. I'll see I guess.

I started playing Silver, and then went back and got Red. I tried Emerald because I wanted to play a Pokemon game, but I got bored and never finished it. Since I like to do things in order, I probably won't get X or Y. But then again, I started the series out of order so if I feel like playing a Pokemon game again I might.

I didn't think of that, the only other theory I heard was this:

X and Y Axis create a 3D image.

The game is the first 3DS main series Pokemon game.

 x and y axis create a 2d image dude you need a z axis to create a 3d image. maybe there is a third legendary that can be Z or something and that would make correlation but for now it is not.

It is #6 on this list. It's in different spots on different lists, but #1 on none of them. It might be number one of 1st person shooters, or number one on current home consoles, but as far as most popular franchises of all time go, it is not.

What are your thoughts on the new game? What starter? And possibly what game and or legendary? How many pokemon, if you think there's more, or just those 6?

I find the new method of naming the games interesting. I probably won't get it so I dunno for most of your questions.

Im going to get a 3DS, and then wait for Pokémon Z. I like the fire starter. The others look... meh to me.

2. Don't know how many Pokémon will be new, but there'll be over 700 total Pokémon, confirmed. So there's definitely more than just 6.

Ok first Im getting which ever game is going to have that black dragon pokemon. I think it is for Y. Its type seems more likely to be dark/flying type. The grass starter looks alright, the fire strarter appeals to me, and the water starter looks absolutely stupid. 

I think the region will be based of Europe :>

If this game is about DNA (which has been strongly hinted at in several ways), then it's very possible a new type was engineered or discovered.

I think these games are the first step into a new direction of the Pokemon Main Series. I'm gonna buy Pokemon Y, I guess.... I'm not completely sure, I think if Pokemon X is gonna get the cooler Pokemon it could be that I'll buy this, but the first look says: Pokemon Y!I took the Fire starter every time I could, and even if I don't like Psycho types, it looks like Fennekin will be Fire/Psycho... I'm sure I'll still choose it xDThe pronunciation in German is totally easy, so I don't have to say something about that xDI really hope there will be a larger selection of Water Pokemon than in B/W... And I mean more NEW Water Pokemon... xDEDIT: The concept of the game is obviously "Genetics" ... I hope this doesn't refer ONLY to the Legendaries... Would be cool if the whole breeding thing could get more complex

I'm not sure what starter to pick, because they are so amazing, but i'll probably pick Fennekin.

 

Fennekin is really cute and its evolution might be amazing (NOT A FIRE/FIGHTING, IF YOU DO ILL CREATE A RIOT). Also for the first time I'll get a fire dog/cat as a starter, even if its a Fennec Fox. 8D

 

Chespin is soooo adorable. It's the Squirtle/Cyndaquil/Mudkip/Piplup/Oshawott of Gen 6. Also for the first time it's not a reptilian or plant 8D, except a chipmunk-hedgehog thing. 

 

Froakie seems really cool . It looks very interesting, and his bubbly mustache and hair look so majestic. 

 

I think the game will be a much better improvement from Gen V, and I loved Gen V so much. It might replace that as my most favourite game in the series. 8D

 

There is 5 so far, and it is stated by the creator of Pokemon that the Pokedex number would be more than 700 now.

 

I'm not sure which version to get, both look so amazing it's so hard for me to choose. D8

 

 

Gym (I hope) (in order): Poison (Toxic to firetruck everyone over), Steel (super hard defenses), Psychic (annoying), Dark (because), Fire (you need a normal type like this), Water (Same goes for water), Electric (Same goes for Electric), Fighting (the pokemon better be good and strong). 

 

Elite 4 (in order): Dragon, Rock, Bug, and then Grass

 

Champion: Normal or Ghost.
