Kingdom Hearts 3 had to be cut back because of Kingdom Hearts 2.5Remix comeing out this 2014. It has been said that Kingdom Hearts 3 might come out this year or in 2015.

Nomura said that they are working on KH 2.5 HD,KH III and Final Fantasy at the same time . What's more , Kingdom Hearts III needs a lot of work so we can't expect it b4 2016...

I wouldn't expect anything until 2016.  A big game like this will have a long development process.  And it should, I don't want a crappy rushed bugged out game that I've been waiting for since I was like 12.

Its mainly because of FF15 that KH3 takes so long, and it wil most likely take some time before it comes out.

i can only hope that it will be out in 2015 because  2016 seems too long to wait ill (probably) lose interest by then.

For extra time and for people who doesn't bought the handheilds to follow the story.

Actually, there's only one team working on KH right now. It's the Osaka team but they are working on KH3 and KH2.5 side by side so it's not because of 2.5 that KH3 is not out it's because of FFXV.

That very well may be.. But I'm pretty sure that he ment that, graphically, the game isn't at it's peak.. Figure a December 2015 release and for Japan and March 2016 for NA, EU, and AU. You gotta realize that KHIII is such a high demand game that Square will put in the money it takes to get this game out.. It's been nearly 10 years since KHII and about 2 years more of development should be enough time to get all the animation, effects and VA work done.

I'm fairly sure the reason why KH3 is chilling out at the moment is because of other projects being developed right now such as FF, not because of 2.5. KH3 is definitely not coming out anytime soon. I would rather wait to receive a fantastic and heartfelt gaming experience over receiving the game ASAP and getting a rushed and forgetful gaming experience. A lot of time and effort is put into each of these games. I'd wait another 10 years for KH3 if I had to.

He also said he is trying to release the game as soon as possible. They are probably going to work their butts to get it released in 2015.

Also, he probably already has a lot more clear ideas for KHIII then he did for KHII (he even already gave the main plotline in KH3D), so it should take less time than before to write the script.

While I'm expecting a 2016 release, we REALLY won't have a good handle on the situation until we have a firm release date for Final Fantasy 15. I know it's separate teams, but that's coming out before KH3 obviously, and it takes Nomura's time. Plus, this is a new console. It's been said that it's easier to make games on the PS4 than the PS3, but it's still too early to tell how long a quality PS4 game takes.

Cause they were messing around with other projects, hopping hand held systems, arguing plot points... basically they were having a major case of ADHD and now they are taking some riddlin and trying to focus long enough to make it for ps4. 

It seems like it will have POSSIBLY a 2015 release, most likely a 2016 release. The game still needs a lot of development. I know IGN stated after the first trailer of KH3 came out that the team developing the game has been working on it since 2010, and if that is the case then 2015 is a plausible release date. Heck even 2014 would work if there is any truth in IGN's statement. But I doubt that they have actually been working on it since 2010. So the game will most likely come out 2016, 11 years after KH2. So the only question is what will be released 2015? Well Nomura said that he plans to release a KH game every year and we know what is being released in 2014 (KH 2.5). With that being said, the only games I think that can be released is either KH3D: DDD HD remix, or the KH 1.5 and 2.5 re-released on PS4 (and maybe Xbox One) with the addition of KH 3D as DLC, or the addition of it with only the cut scenes. 

Because Nomura is working on a lot of stuff he cant make kh3 THAT early it will take a long time to perfect it and the other games that he's working on too. 

Passion I don't think that's right there working on it and there's other games being made 2 so it would take a while if there ain't a lot of people working on Kingdom Hearts 3.

I believe there is progress ,but it still might take a while because of ideas and a way to end Xehanort and start up the new series

i think that its POSSIBLE to be released in late 2015 because it seems like they've gotten a lot done with ffxv but if ffxv doesn't get released this year or next year then it's definitely coming out in 2016. regardless of either a 2015 or 2016 release date we should see a lot of footage in those years specifically though, and obviously there's going to be a little footage this year but i'm not expecting much aside from seeing the new outfits and maybe an actual story trailer at e3 or tgs or s/t
