How does Xion see herself?

So if Xion's form changes based on who is looking at her (Saix sees her in her puppet form, Xigbar sees her as Ven, Roxas sees her as Kairi with black hair, and Axel often sees her with just a hood on), how does Xion see herself? We never really have many scenes from her point of view: she's almost always in a position where we are seeing her as someone else does. There's the assumption that she shares her sense of identity with Roxas, but really, there's no real reason to support that: as said before, her appearance is almost arbitrary.

 Axel also initially saw her as Namine bc he hadn't met Kairi yet but eventually he saw her as Roxas did so I think she also sees herself like Roxas did - the black haired Kairi which is what those close to her saw.

I assumed the black-haired Kairi.  Since Roxas and Axel also see her that way, I defaulted to thinking she sees herself that way as well.  The confrontation between her, Axel, and Xigbar in Wonderland where she runs off, seems to support she didn't see herself as Sora or whoever until then.  If the fact she's just a puppet without her own identity was such a shocker to her, it stands to reason she never looked into a mirror and saw a boy.

I'd say how we see her, since she does brush her hair behind her ear, indicating that she at least thinks she has some where we see it, and she definitely seemed to notice when she started to look like Sora, suggesting that it wasn't her normal look.

As Xemnas explains, when Sora's memories started leaking into Xion, "it" began to transfer into "her": the being they all saw. Naminé also confirms this, when she says that Xion's the "Kairi that Sora remembers", and that she can see her face: the black haired Kairi.

 

Someday, I really ought to write up just what I imagine Xion is. There seems to be a lot of confusion there. She's definitely not Roxas (as she was meant to be a clone of Sora), but she actually already existed as a blank slate before his memories started transferring over.

 

Honestly, I don't see Xion as Sora or Roxas. She could have been anyone/anything, and was always changing. Originally, she was an empty husk, but developed an identity of her own: everything else was really just smoke and mirrors. And since we know she grew her own heart (and will come back as her own person eventually), that furthers the fact that her existence was separate from Sora and Roxas'. In fact, if Sora's memories had never been scattered in the first place, she and Sora could have co-existed with no problems.

 

Also, I imagine that when she becomes her own person, she'll still look the same as she does now to everyone else, as that's how they perceive her. "I see myself the way you remember me, and you see yourself the way I remember you," and all that. Joshua further adds to this in explaining, "It's when other people look at us and see something, that we each truly start to exist." (Or something like that.)

Even disregarding stuff like physical appearance and "I'm a replica D:", Xion views herself as undoubtedly female; she consistently uses the very girly first-person pronoun あたし atashi in the Japanese version and is, as far as I know, the only original character to do so.

 

Assuming she comes back in KH3, her final appearance will probably be "black-haired Kairi" since that's how everyone close to her perceives her (note how Sora, who has never seen Xion before, sees her as "black-hair" before anything else happens).

  Agreed, I'm just directly referring to his report where he says she looks like Namine which makes sense since he hadn't met kairi yet .I realize I didn't phrase it right but that's what I was referring too. I just meant he didn't always see her as hooded but eventually saw her as looking like Namine but as the black haired girl that Roxas also saw

Honestly, I never got why Roxas was so crazy about Xion. I know they both joined up around the same time, and they're both rookies, but how do you get so close to somebody who hides their face all the time? Well, I saw it today. All of a sudden, No. XIV up and takes off... her hood. Xion is a girl, and she looks just like Naminé.
