Water levels are the worst levels

Featured Replies

Hydro City from Sonic 3 is a water level done right. :)

The memories are coming back NOOOOOOOOOEZ

The water levels in the Donkey Kong Country games were pretty good.

Loved Atlantica in KH1, was disappointed by its appearance in KH2, but I'm open for a return similar to that of KH1.

I also quite enjoyed the water level from the first Ratchet and Clank game in Blackwater City.

I remember the Water Temple from Zelda, that one pissed me off! GRRRRR favorite Water Level? does Mario Kart count? if so Dolphin Shoals :) so beautiful!

That Water Temple in OoT... >:( Atlantica in Kh 1 was ok, in ReCoM it was also okay and in KH 2 i completely ignored it!

I actually liked Atlantica in both KH's.

Love Atlantica!!! Really.. The commands are a little hard, but HEY! isn't that what players want, I mean, new challenges? You just have to adapt!!! I really hope it returns for more games of the series!!!! Really Hope!

The only water levels that I really like is Hydro city in Sonic 3&K and Aquatic ruins in Sonic 2,but other then that I hate water levels, they are always annoying to deal with, they are often at a slower pace, with weird or awkward controls.I don't mind to see them once in a while, but when there's a world where all the levels are water levels like in DKC tropical freeze, that's annoying.

The Water Temple in EVERY SINGLE ZELDA GAME.Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess. All of them were frustrating and yet still fun for some reason...

Admittedly: I found desert levels more irritating and deadly. Anyway, favourite water levels: All the ones from the Sonic games but the first ever one and Rapture... Christ... all the ones I dislike: the rest in existence.

Ecco the Dolphin probably has the best swimming controls ever, even though the actual game is pretty much impossible to beat without cheating.

AllI can say is: TMNT dam level.

I once passed this level with ALL the oxygen tanks and bombs diabled when I was a wee lad. Can't tell you how I did it though, because I have no idea how I did.

Water Temple in OoT was simple, Twlight Princess was a bit mre confusing if you ask me.

I loved Atlantica in KH2. It's nice to take a break once in awhile, especially when Pooh's not doing it for ya.

Water levels like Hydrocity Zone in Sonic 3 are pretty fun, and the water section of Prankster's Paradise was pretty fun too. Atlantica in KH1 was alright, though KH2 Atlantica wasn't as interesting by comparison. You got to see all of these interesting areas that you COULD HAVE explored but instead you're boxed into two rooms and you have to play the half-decent songs of the world just to see the other areas. I think from now on, water levels in Kingdom Hearts should be treated like Atlantica from KH1 and Prankster's Paradise from KH DDD, they at least have more focus on integrating the water to become part of the level. Most of the water levels of the Sonic series are kind of fun (at least, AFTER Sonic CD), especially when there's an option to run on the surface of the water. Water levels in Legend of Zelda, well, from what little I've played, they do seem to be a bit of a pain in the neck. I think depending on how you make the level, water levels could either be the most fun or the most torturous portions of any game. As much as I like a challenge every now and then, I think I would appreciate much more fun water levels in the future.

Now desert levels however, THOSE tend to be the least amount of fun more often than not. But I think they have about as much equal chance of being either fun or terrible as water levels. In my experience though, I've often found myself more annoyed with desert levels rather than water levels.

Hello! Are you Forgetting about Skyward Sword,What about the Ancient Cistern? That was one of the best water Levels in a Zelda game to date for me.
