Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series has revealed in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine that they have decided upon a release date for Kingdom Hearts III but they cannot announce it yet. Since Dengeki PlayStation is a Japanese magazine, this is likely in reference to the Japanese release date of the game.

Nomura: We've reached an agreement, but I still can't say anything. I plan to give new information at the Kingdom Hearts Fan Event that will be held on the 3rd of November.

Can't we at least get the release date of the DAMN RELEASE DATE, like there is so much hype building up and telling us what event they will give us the release date is pretty reasonable.

Wow, I can't believe it. After lurking and being on this site for so long, we are finally close to Kingdom Hearts 3. I've been waiting for this moment

I wonder if it is like an actual release date or if it is just a date that they hope to release it on, and if it is an actual release date then they must be further along in development then I thought

Another reason might be that it's not an exact release date, but a date they plan to. If the development has progressed enough by November, they may be ready by D23. If not, they'll continue to be the biggest trolls in gaming. Just a thought.

But at least THEY know it. If Square Enix didn't know how much longer it would take to release KH3, that would say something about the development progress. Something bad.

It may not be up to Nomura. The higher ups at Disney or Square Enix could have his hands tied for now.Maybe they're playing this elaborate game where they won't tell us the release date until like, a year before the game comes out, just so they can see us freak out with how close it's coming.

I'm hoping for a worldwide release, and if not at least the gap between JPN and Intl. releases should be less than a month.

Guys, maybe were over-reacting. For all we know the release date could be in 2017. Just don't get your hopes up for a release date reveal at D23...we all know what happens when we do that. But if we don't get our hopes up than the surprise will be 20 times better so, let's not get our hopes. I know I won't.
