June 30, 201510 yr Since Disney owns it, yes it could potentially appear. BUT, it runs on the same fine line as the marvel/star wars worlds. Disney owns them yes, but they are still technically owned by Marvel Entertainment and Lucasfilm (Indiana Jones is obviously a Lucasfilm property), which are their own companies. Square Enix would not only need permission from Disney to use any of these, but also from the people in charge at Marvel/Lucasfilm. Namer mentioned this in an interview (at E3 I believe), where he said that it is technically possible and Disney is always very open to everything they propose, but at the same time, he said it would be difficult because there are more permissions to get to use any of those properties. So I doubt it would happen, same with Marvel/Star wars
June 30, 201510 yr Anything's possible. But my own personal opinion. FACK. NO. This is in the same league as Marvel, Star Wars and Atlantica. Edited June 30, 201510 yr by AuraAce
June 30, 201510 yr Anything's possible. But my own personal opinion. FACK.NO.This is in the same league as Marvel, Star Wars and Atlantica.Dude, The Little Mermaid has a sequel. It's sequel hasn't appeared in the games yet.But you're right when you state that Indiana Jones can't appear. It falls under the same scenario as Star Wars. They're both Lucasfilm properties and Square Enix can't do that because of legal complications.
June 30, 201510 yr Dude, The Little Mermaid has a sequel. It's sequel hasn't appeared in the games yet. No, the Little Mermaid is in the same league as Marvel and Star Wars. As in they SHOULD NOT appear. Because for Marvel and Star Wars' case, it wouldn't make sense. But in Atlantica's case, it is a pile of crap, and Nomura would be wise to listen to the sheer majority of the community and not bring it back.

The majority of people hated Atlantica in Kingdom Hearts 2 specifically because it was a terrible musical world and it was a retelling of the same story. The Little Mermaid 2 has a new plot, explores new locations and has a new main character (Melody). Your hatred for the movie in Kingdom Hearts is not going to change the outcome of The Little Mermaid 2 appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3.
June 30, 201510 yr Paramount still owns the distribution rights, which I think means there's not really a chance of adapting any of the Indiana Jones films. Possibly. Disney technically owns the rights to the films themselves I believe, unlike Star Wars where 20th Century Fox own the rights to every SW movie until like 2020. But I'm not really expecting either. Unlike Tron and Pirates, which Disney owns pretty much completely, I think there might be too much legal hassle to adapt the films themselves. I think cartoon shows like The Clone Wars are far easier (and more likely) to be adapted than films themselves. Edited June 30, 201510 yr by Kaweebo
June 30, 201510 yr Errr ... as much as I like Indiana Jones I wouldn't want it to appear in a kingdom hearts game
June 30, 201510 yr I rather see anything with Marvel, Star Wars, and anything not made by Disney but own by Disney as DLC weapons.

Kingdom Hearts is about the aspects of the heart and friendship. Not treasure hunting and being a super hero.
July 1, 201510 yr I don't think you get the point that Marvel and Star Wars will not work. Kingdom Hearts is about the aspects of the heart and friendship. Not treasure hunting and being a super hero.Almost all super heroes have love interest and friendships. That is all Star Wars was about. Ik you don't want it butttt just cause you don't want it doesn't it won't work.
July 3, 201510 yr I don't think that Indiana Jones will appear in Kingdom Hearts III, but hey, he could appear in the next saga! You never know!
