Do you plan on pre-ordering Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue?

Do you plan on pre-ordering Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue?

Personally, I'm still waiting for a potential limited edition announcement like the KH2.5 collector's edition!

P.S. If you would like to pre-order the game, a few links to do so can be found here!

Depends on if it has cool preorder bonuses. And if I have a PS4 by then. And how much they mess up DDD.

I plan to pre-order as soon as NA gets a concrete release date. And if a LE is announced afterwards, is simply cancel my order and switch.

Well, I know I'm probably going to end up buying a PS4 by the end of this year and I pre-ordered 2.5, so maybe.

I never pre-order games, so i'm not pre-ordering this one either, but i do plan to get it on release date.

That depends if I'm able to get a PS4.

The second it went on Amazon I had it pre-ordered, and I will do the same when/if a collectors edition is announced.

I never pre-order games :/

I'll buy it after the release date

I already pre-ordered the game from Gamestop's website. The wait begins for me.

Waiting till I see the release date. That way I can plan where to mail it since I won't be in this dorm all year.

I will most likely pre-order it when they announce a limited edition.

I will when it gets closer to release date like I do with most games that I want to play right away. Here's hoping they have something nice with their Limited Edition like they did with 1.5 2.5 and the original Dream Drop Distance.

Hell yeah I'm gonna pre-order it. I'm going to wait however until an official release date is announced and/or there's a limited edition of the game.

I genuinely don't understand the "it's too expensive" comments. Seems like a really entitled position to take over what can only be a very small amount relative to the consumer.

Regardless, waiting for the LE announcement, if there is one. I generally don't pre-order unless it is one.

I might, but it's ridiculously expensive in Canada. I saw it up for pre-order for $74.99, so...

I put Something Else cause there are two things here to this question for me. I don't have a PS4 yet, and I don't know when I will be able to get one in my lifetime, if I even get one in my lifetime, so I don't know if I will even get 2.8 at launch, it may be a year after the game comes out. But if I do get a PS4, then I will pre-order 2.8 around the time it comes out, since I normally wait until after a proper release date has been a announced to pre-order a game.

I haven't pre-ordered 2.8 yet, but I plan on doing so once it's available for pre-order on Gamestop!  And if there's a Limited Edition in the works, then I'll just switch my pre-order to that! xD

I don't even own a PS4 yet. Because of this game, I may have to buy one sooner than I thought. :/

Peace!

My brother has a PS4 that we share, but since I just got my copy of KH3D in yesterday, my answer is no. I'm planning on watching the KHUx cutscenes online as well as the KH0.2 gameplay, since all I want is the information, not necessarily the experience. I might change my mind if DDD's remake and 0.2 offer more than what I expect out of the two games.

Sounds to me that people say this is too expensive because they would need to purchase a PS4 along with the game. I'm already seeing a few posts saying that. It's either that, or these people's projected budgets for the next few months are tight. They may also be looking to save as much cash as possible.

Nah, honestly there's no point to pre-ordering a game nowadays since companies more often than not are banking on selling lots of copies of their game so they'll always ship out plenty of them. if anything it's more of a way to feed your excitement because by laying down cash for something it makes it feel all the more real to you until you finally have it in your possession.

so no i'm not pre-ordering 2.8

For sure, I get that they might be upset about the console change (since how many times has this happened with KH? =P) but I figured people were more talking about the fact that it appears to be a $60 title rather than a $40 one that the other remixes were. That's a pretty minor expense to someone who is already in a position to be buying consumer goods like video games.

It's $60 for a remaster of a game that most of us played 3 years ago (That cost $40 at launch), a movie which is apparently going to be shorter than the last two movies (and while I never got around to watching Re:Coded's movie, Days' was incredibly boring), and a demo for Kingdom Hearts III under the guise of a new story (which I will say is the most interesting part of the package, but still not worth getting for $60). I'd much rather wait for a price cut than spend $60 for all of that.

I fail to see the point of preordering a regular copy of any game. Stores surely have enough copies to sell anyways.

A limited edition is another thing entirely though. Those get sold out quickly where I live, so I'll pre order that if they decide to make a limited edition.

An updated and remastered version of a game that many people have actually mentioned they weren't able to play, a movie of content that has never been seen by anybody (and that most people are going to watch for free online anyway instead of paying for...), and brand new gameplay and content that you won't find anywhere else. I mean, if you don't think that's worth it, cool, but just because Square Enix offered us some sweet pricing on the previous ones doesn't mean that a standard, full-priced game here suddenly isn't worth the actual cost. It's not like the Atlus tax, anyway.
