October 29, 20159 yr Well considering that the KH3 Final Mix will cost more than a DLC, I'll take the DLC.
October 29, 20159 yr How about neither? I'd rather have a full experience right out of the box instead of a DLC/separate disc.
October 29, 20159 yr OR Square could just release the Final Mix version as the standard version for the game. DLC? No thanks. Final Mix? No thanks.
October 29, 20159 yr Popular Post I'm going to have to go with the people here who are saying neither as well, just give us a complete game the first time around. If neither isn't an option then I'd have to go with DLC. I'd hate to pay for the entire game again just so I could get some extra content here and there. As long as it's DLC that's reasonably priced I'd have to choose that over a final mix version of the game.
October 29, 20159 yr I would rather that they just release all content on disc, but if they don't I would rather have DLC so I don't have to repurchase an entire game for a few extras.
October 29, 20159 yr I'd go for either both of them or neither and have the game fully completed. Either way I want a full experience that's not solely exclusive to any country.
October 29, 20159 yr Author I edited the post to include neither, as it seems a more popular opinion.
October 29, 20159 yr Neither, give me the proper game, now! If I had to choose, I would go with Final Mix, just because I'm not paying for any of the two (DLC or Final Mix), and it's easier to get a FM version than a DLC without having to pay (you know, a friend may lend you his FM KH3 version or something).
October 29, 20159 yr I'd rather Square actually just give their fans what they want: a complete game with all the trappings that we're due for a decade of patience.
October 29, 20159 yr Because of the fact that DLC even exists, there is no excuse for a Final Mix version of III. The Final Mixes for I and II were pretty much an archaic process of DLC, with some minor other changes as well but mostly the added content separates them from the original versions. KHIII probably won't have DLC considering that after all these years in development, everything that needs to be in the game will be in. But, on the off-chance that the opportunity does crop up, like if fans still want the game to have more, just selling DLC by itself is the logical way to go. If there is a "Final Mix", it should be relegated to a "Game of the Year" type deal. Edited October 29, 20159 yr by Firaga Sensei
October 29, 20159 yr Because I know Square can't help themselves I am sure there will be a FM. I like to collect as much KH games as possible, so I vote for a separate FM game EDIT: BUT ONLY IF US GETS IT AND NOT JUST JAPAN Edited October 29, 20159 yr by Jordan Holmer
October 29, 20159 yr How about neither? I'd rather have a full experience right out of the box instead of a DLC/separate disc. This post is the best example why DLCs are sadly associated with removed content and a lack of full experience. DLC can be really good. It depends on the company how it is used and it doesn't necessarily mean that the game is incomplete. The developers can always get new ideas after the finished product and deliver new content which should normally have a good price-performance ratio. They can also make it available for free (costumes, etc.). I would rather see the complete game first, then they could decide to make DLC. After a year or longer, they can release a Game of the Year Edition/Final Mix Edition with the whole content and maybe some other improvements.
October 29, 20159 yr I have a simple solution, why not just put everything including extra cutscenes, gameplay, episodes, and bosses in the first time around?
October 30, 20159 yr I like how people automatically assume that all dlc is removed content. Its not always the case. With batman arkham knight they added the Killing Joke story as dlc and while it wasnt too long it was something that definitely wasnt planned for the base game and wouldn't have fit in. Think about it, rather than have an entire extra game focusing on The back story of a character or whatever else we can get a 1-2 hour dlc. The only time that dlc is a problem is when its something so minuscule like a taunt or extra weapon. Edited October 31, 20159 yr by Kalebninja almighty
October 30, 20159 yr DLC is fine, at least it can be when it's done well. I personally really enjoyed Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC; it gave you an entire island to explore, some new questlines, new enemies, and a new game mechanic. Or Fallout 3 and New Vegas's DLC, which added new stories, areas, characters, etc. Oh and Dark Souls 2, where the DLC added areas that were significantly better than the main game. Let's face it, with the way the game industry (and especially Square) is now, there will be some form of extra content, locked behind a pay wall. All we can do is hope it's good DLC or a well-implemented Final Mix. And not small cosmetic upgrades that you can unlock with microtransactions.
October 30, 20159 yr Author Because I know Square can't help themselves I am sure there will be a FM. I like to collect as much KH games as possible, so I vote for a separate FM game EDIT: BUT ONLY IF US GETS IT AND NOT JUST JAPANEven a wait for the west is unacceptable at this point.
October 30, 20159 yr I would prefer they not do this final mix crap they're known for doing, but if they must we live in the age of DLC so there would be no excuse for them not to utilize it and release it for the world to enjoy and not just Japan.
October 30, 20159 yr Neither. Honestly, with the amount of content that Kingdom Hearts III has...no wait, let me rephrase that! Nomura took out A Fragmentary Passage from Kingdom Hearts III and will now make it a separate thing in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue BECAUSE Kingdom Hearts III has too much content! So with that in mind, I honestly think that Kingdom Hearts III won't need a Final Mix or DLC! You'd think that after all these years, Nomura wants to deliver a complete package from the get go, am I right? I'm pretty sure Kingdom Hearts III will be one complete package! If anything, after Kingdom Hearts III, the next move Square will probably make before the next saga kicks off is to release a Xehanort Saga compilation containing all the games in the series! I'm pretty sure that's what would happen, ya know? Edited October 30, 20159 yr by The Transcendent Key
October 30, 20159 yr Normally I would say neither unless it's just small things like a few extra outfits or if they come up with something later that isn't important to the overall story so if people don't want it they can just ignore it sort of like the vampire DLC in infamous.

October 30, 20159 yr I hope it's neither. It's really not fair that Japan gets everything first anyways. And it would be real irritating if Square decided to do that to us again. Let's hope it's not another decade again
