I don't think you got to worry about Sora getting angst anyway. It's a staple in every game he's in.

Kh1: loses world. Burdened as the only onr to defeat the heartless as everything tries to kill him. Told he's insignificant faker. Betrayed and abandoned by friends. Kills himself. Forced to leave Kairi to find missing friend.

COM: Inception on angry steroids.

Kh2: still missing friend. Kairi kidnapped. Existential crisis of helping the enemy. Had to beg for nothing. People can't get his name right. Nearly gets his heart ripped out and lost forever in dark realm forever. Kind of bummed about how worn out he is.

DDD: it's Inception for real and ahhhh the follow your heart backfires very badly! Sora's a failed student. X0

Kh3: people keep picking on him and then everyone diiiiiieeeessss! Then Sora diiiiies - for real this time.

Kh4: man not even being dead gives him a break. Why is flippin Xehanort of all people giving him a broken umbrella in the rain? Sora: Get out of here man. How'd we end up in the same place?

You know reviewing everything kind of makes Sora the most angsty active character out there. He's just so positive and willing to shove those pesky feelings down cause literally everyone is like 'Sora save us. Smile or we feel sad.'

I don't know if the universe could accept a perpetually visible depressed Sora. Everyone will think 'we're doomed!' XD

Ok theory that be relevant to 4 or future lore of KH. Involves ML and Ephy. What if Ephemer was using Replica bodies and data of himself to keep himself alive during the timeframe MLs main story took place in. He'd just have to transfer his Heart into a younger version of himself
