Utada Hikaru is involved in the theme song for Kingdom Hearts III

Don't firetruck this up Disney! Pay Utada what she deserves for her music!  And I'm really happy to hear she's returning.  It wouldn't be the same with another singer.

Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding. It is currently undecided.

The misunderstanding is probably because he 1. Decided without checking with Mrs. Utada, or2. He disclosed the information too soon.

Yeah, I already posted three videos for that when it was first posted...and it felt all the more worse when it was announced that it was "undecided"......Funny, sounded like her dad was pretty sure before, considering the fact that he's her freaking manager! I mean he's the reason that she hasn't done anything with Square these days, how could he slip on something like that?

I honestly don't really care if Utada does it or not.. if she doesn't someone else would, yes it would be nice to have her finish off the last game in the MX saga since she did all the others, but if she's not willing to accept the job or they don't want to hire her anymore cause she turned them down first time round, I'm not going to fret over it.

Nomura: "Many fans seem to have the image Kingdom Hearts = Utada Hikaru so I didn’t think of changing that at all."

Nomura will probably contact Utada Hikaru sometime in 2014 and they'll eventually make a deal. I'm glad it's not a "No" at least, it's still  "undecided". Let's just hope.

I mean, how do you slip on something like that!? It's clear that they might have at least gotten an offer from Square/Disney at this point, meaning that the only reason it's not "officially confirmed" yet is that her stubborn fathager (father-manager) is holding out for more money. That's what got the whole lack of Utada thing started to begin with!!! I get that she has a carer outside of Kingdom Hearts and that she has over a bajillion songs out in Japan, but for us in the states, Kingdom Hearts is all we have of her, and I really, REALLY want to hear a new song from her for Kingdom Hearts III. That game would just feel incomplete without that. I swear, if her fathager is the reason we won't get a new Utada song for Kingdom Hearts III....well, I don't know what I'll do, but I'll do it...depending on what it is......You get what I mean!

Just goes to show that even a straight answer can't be trusted these days. How can it be that the closest things to a reliable answer we can get are vague statements that don't necessarily confirm one thing but doesn't necessarily count it out either? At what point did answering questions get so complicated!?
