no it oculd be trailers for kh3 holiday annocments since 2.8 was surpoase to come in december and the va for thatstuff would be done by now

Lmao he's only mentioning recording now? On a Dissidia livestream of all places? Yeah it ain't coming out till 2018 (KH3). Could be 2.8 but he said like 3 times that the game was completed and they were just polishing it.

Not sure if it's definitely KH 3, but you're right that it doesn't really make sense to confirm it for 2.8. We've already heard some of it in the trailers and in the demo. Also, the game comes out in 4 months. Since he repeatedly said that everything is going smoothly, why announce something that was rather apparent? 3D doesn't really need any recording anyway.

Then again, even if he means KH 3 it doesn't necessarily mean it is anywhere near finished just because they started recording.

well in my opinion he is just trying to record us something about 2.8 or 3 because we didn't receive any trailer recently about 3 because they re so focusing into 2.8 but it wouldn't make sense lol nomura has a mysterious personality

Pretty sure it's for KH3, seeing as how they've been able to show us so many voiced 2.8 trailers and yet we've only gotten like one or two KH3 trailers with voice acting in them, and it was from the same scene. Odds are they got everything they needed for 2.8 already and are starting to get down to business on KH3 voice acting. I'm sure they may have done some work with a few individual actors here and there but it sounds like now they might be doing more consecutive sessions with more members of the cast.

Voice recordings are the final steps of development not one of the very last FINAL steps to finishing a video game but part of the steps for sure.

it's safe too say kh3 is far long development nomura has always said that It was going smoothly and doing good no hold backs or pauseing on development. now that Final Fantasy 15 is pretty much done everyone from FF15 pretty much moved too kh3 and this shoild help speed kh3 even more.

It's gotta be for KH3 because unless there's a new scene, then there's really no need to mention Sora for 2.8 is there? All the scenes in 3D where already voiced so they could just recycle the voice clips and he's not in 0.2 (unless its at the very end after the credits) or BC.

I am sure he is referring to KH3. I mean, HD2.8 is basically about done. All the recording they have had to do seems to be wrapped up. I would imagine KH3 recording is now underway since that is now the sole focus. No HD2.8 or anything else in the way to obstruct the journey to KH3.

Yeah guess KH3 too he says along with FF7 Remake what will also take much time.

Besides we know when 2.8 will come.

You're right that there is no reason to believe that it's not going smoothly and that recording certainly doesn't imply the whole game is done but voice recording can mean a lot. There was voice recording done for the E3 2015 trailer too but that didn't mean anything in regards to overall recording either.

Then again, Nomura was also the one who said they were not as far as fans believed/hoped and that they announced it too early. That was quite awhile ago, yes, but looking at the trailers, we have hardly seen anything yet. Big Hero 6 was announced over a year ago and apart from a picture, we haven't seen any footage of that yet. We have yet to see in-game footage of anyone but Donald, Goofy and Sora in 3 as well (apart from the fact that they still need to polish those models too). Again, that doesn't need to mean anything, but it's something to consider.

I think we'll get more info this winter and maybe we can get some superficial view on how far it is.

I don't think you need to worry about that. While they did say that releasing 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS4 isn't out of the realm of possibilities, they also stated that KH3 will be the next game to release after 2.8.

No. Nomura said through Twitter it was due to the adjustment of contiguous titles. I'm on a mobile phone else I'd bring the quote up, you can find it yourself though if you want to see the whole thing. Or just look at TheGamersJoint's channel, he has a video for every news piece.

There's no way that 2.8 would ever steal the spotlight from XV, if minor games stole the spotlight from XV then they may as well not release any games this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. KH3 2018 it is, oh nvm I forgot about 2.95 which is the PS4 bundle with a 5 minute canon sequence from KH3. Therefore making it a new title! 2019 baby

Seriously though, this is such a creative idea that I can see Nomura doing something like that. I just don't want it to be a standalone title...

I hope they remaster this interview with the one Terra and Namine conversation which we never get to see in KH 2.8

But all joking aside now I have pay attention to literally every live stream with Nomura
