  1. Becky lemme smash Yeah Smash Bros was my favourite announcement, another step toward making the Wii U completely irrelevant. Other than Mario 3D World and the Zelda HD games, I think literally all the Wii U games I ever played are on Switch now. Honestly if Smash Bros just has a couple of new characters I will still buy it and play it a lot. Love those games. I'm also glad that Crash N Sane is finally coming to other platforms as well. That's a good fit for the Switch I think. Blast a few relic trials while on the bus or w/e sounds good to me
  2. Kingdom Hearts: Return To The Pride Lands Chapter 1: Return “Woah...” The only audible sound he could make as he looked in wonder at how beautiful the Pridelands had become since their last visit. Gone were the barren browns they had known under Scar's selfish and neglectful reign. Replaced now by lush grasslands, calm and rippling rivers and all teeming with wildlife. Antelopes hopped merrily along their way, birds flew majestically in the sky which was now a vibrant blue, the sun lighting up everything that existed underneath it. Sora had been to many Worlds on his travels, but this one was one of the most invitingly peaceful he had ever seen. “Looks like Simba is doing a really good job!” Donald said, energetic and happy as he flapped his wings every now and then to regain height when gravity started to pull him down, flying just above Sora and Goofy. “Ya Huh” Goofy agreed, how could he not? Although the weight of his shell he used to shield himself in these lands felt heavier than usualy in the sunlight. “C'mon! Let's go see him!” Sora said. Motioning his head toward Pride Rock, which was just in the distance. Standing tall as the landmark of the Pridelands, casting a shadow around anyone who was near it. As the three of them made their way toward the structure, Donald was enjoying the breeze that came with his light weight in this World as he flew laps around Sora and Goofy. Goofy waddled along at times, but he also would bring his neck inside his shell, spinning along the grounds so he could travel easier and faster and keep up with Sora and Sora himself felt the worst of it, his mane and all the rest of his light brown fur drew the rays of the sun to him. “Look! There they are!” “The heroes of the Pridelands!” “Mummy can we go and say hello to them?” The voices of the animals both young and old that inhabited these lands swirled around as the trio passed. Word had spread of their arrival and the kingdom was humbled to have them visit again. Getting closer the Pride Rock, which was now enormous as the three were dwarfed by it, Sora wandered what had happened to the hyenas and the heartless. A lion with tanned almost orange fur with a red well groomed mane that covered the outsides of his face and rounded his neck and tipping off at his chest was joined by a young adult lioness with light brown fur and yellow eyes with striking blue iris. “Sora! Donald! Goofy! Its great to see you!” The lion said as they stepped down from the monument to meet the. The lioness smiled at them, she hadn't spent as much time with them as Simba had and she hadn't joined them for the battles but she had them to thank for helping to get Simba to return to the Pridelands in the first place. The three of them bowed their heads in respect to the royal couple. “Your majesty.” The three of them said in unison. “Oh come on. You guys know you don't need to be so formal around us.” The lioness said back to them but she respected them for doing it anyway. Sora laughed, partly to break the awkward moment of silence and partly out of pure joy, after all it was amazing to see how much Simba had grown and changed, transforming the kingdom along with himself. The five continued to talk and exchange laughs as they stepped up Pride Rock, reaching the peak of it that stretched out from the King's den. The view was a stunning one, the savannah seemingly endless in front of them, even the barren gorge where the tragedy of the great Mufasa took place was now teeming with new life. The hyenas allowed to live there in peace and while it wasn't what they had in mind, it was better than fighting for scraps in the Elephant Graveyards. The downside of course is they had to vacate it when the herds wanted to move through, a fair trade off they all had agreed to. In the midst of the joyous reunion, Sora had forgot to mention why they were here. Until Goofy bought the subject up. “Gawsh Simba, its great to see you all again but we noticed darkness in this World. Do ya have any idea where that might be coming from?”Perhaps the organisation were somehow present in this World. Or Maleficent and Pete had returned. Simba looked off to the East, to the place where the colours stopped and murky browns, rocks, hills and barely any signs of life seemed to be present. While they shared the same sky, they did not share the same destiny. It was hard to believe this was a part of the same World, the contrast as Sora looked from those lands to the magnificent ones in front of him was almost sad to see. “... That would be my best guess.” Simba said reluctantly. “The outlands.” “The outlands?” Sora repeated it back to him. The king's blue red-billed hornbill and Majordomo for the royal family, Zazu was perched on Simba's broad shoulder blade. “Nothing there but a bunch of back stabbing outsiders.” he hissed the words out. “Zazu's right. You can't trust them. They were banished to the outlands for continuing to follow in Scar's plans.” Scar, now there was a name that bought with it a sense of dread and anxiety. Images of his namesake, that scar that tore through his eye, came rushing back to Sora. “And worse yet. Kiara seems to be involved with one of them somehow.” Simba continued “Who is Kiara?” Donald asked Simba. His voice was always loud in any conversation among all others. “Princess Kiara.” Zazu smiled a proud smile. “Uhm, princess?” Goofy was the first to realise what this meant. Simba nodded and smiled “My daughter.” There was a brief moment of silence but it was sharply broken “DAUGHTER?!” Sora and Donald both shouted it at the same time. The rest of the gang couldn't help but laugh at the shocked look on their faces.
  3. Another day another live action Disney movie remake teaser. As with all the previous ones I think it looks great. The live action movies are a bit hit and miss for me but the ones I have liked I thought were really good. Also the teaser was just super cute and gets you in those ways that only nostalgia can. ;A;
  4. Do the Disney Park attractions we have seen in the trailers work more similar to Drives or summons from previous games and which attractions are featured in the game?
  5. Looking for a RP partner if anyone out there is interested! http://kh13.com/forum/topic/112715-1x1-rp-partner-needed-for-a-xehanort-story/
  6. That is so cool. I could totally see a Frozen World working in KH3 if they did decide to do it. I feel like the new graphics engine would be a pretty good fit for it.
  7. Xehanort Story (Pending a better Title) Hey guys. Well since the story I shared here a few days ago seemed to be well received, I have decided to stick around and will be using KH as a platform for creative writing practices and for fun while I do so. Anyway onto the plot: This story revolves mostly around Young Xehanort, covering the time from when he was on Destiny Islands, he trains with the only other teenager on the Island he is friends with, a young Lightning. Leading on to his meeting with the Xehanort Heartless who tells him of his destiny. Arming him with the No Name Keyblade and the black hood that will aid him in his journey through the darkness. He tells Xehanort about his future self, the plan to fill 13 vessels to clash with he seven pure hearts of light and create the X-Blade to unlock Kingdom Hearts. The story will then become more action focused as Xehanort moves through the Worlds searching for the 11 (Himself and Master Xehanort being the other two) splintered versions of Xehanort's heart and has them meet at their fated destination (The World That Never Was). Characters Young Xehanort Young Lightning Xehanort Heartless There will be more characters needed to be introduced as the story progresses and Xehanort travels from World to World of course. So who is down to clown and wants to help me get the ball rolling with this? Reply or PM and we can discuss character selections. I'm open to ideas and suggestions too. I want this to be a story we develop together.
  8. Of that list, The Last Of Us. But also Persona 5 among the fans and RPG gamers alike will be remembered for a long time I think
  9. Interest Check: Who would be up for a KH one shot style story writing contest run every month?
  10. Big fan of this series. Watched Pirates 5 a couple of times while I was travelling a lot over December and picked up the Blu Ray as soon as I could when I got back. I thought it was a great return to form that the series needed after Pirates 4 almost derailed it for a lot of people. And it seems like judging from the post credits scene they are going to continue to revisit older themes from the series which personally I really like. Hope Pirates 6 will get the green light, seems like its one of those series that they will continue only if there's enough demand for it.
  11. That's interesting. I never got to watch The Last Jedi as it released right when I was travelling so now I'm waiting for the Blu Ray. But I have read the RP up to where it currently is and I would like to join, if its cool with you guys? If you want to keep it 1X1 then no worries but if not I would be interested in bringing in a villain and maybe Vanitas could be in this as Xehanort's apprentice? It would fit with the rule of two for sith lords I think.
  12. Back from a hiatus with a new fic! http://kh13.com/forum/topic/112643-itch-a-vanitas-story/
  13. The sensation came to Vanitas every time he was unprepared for it, when he was the recessive part of Ventus that he hated most, vulnerable. Over time the feeling became more overpowering, it would channel through his body like the very darkness that he had been created from. Only he didn't recognise this as darkness. No he couldn't be weak. He couldn't think about her. The feeling intensified, it raced through him up and down, never finding a heart to rest in and so came to a still at the usual place, his mind. Vanitas had done well to ignore this feeling and brush it off as a weakness that would disappear when he one day finally defeats his weaker self, Ventus. Oh how he hated the name. But lately he had found it difficult to think about that, or to even focus on the task Master Xehanort had set for him. How could he when his mind was plagued, infested with thoughts of her. Her who he was told to forget, whose name Vanitas only knew from his time spent in the shadows watching Ventus spar with her, learning his keyblade fighting techniques so that they could one day be used against him. But whose name would stay in his mind. Her name was Aqua. Itch. She was nothing more to him than collateral damage, a pawn in the game. She would serve as the stepping stone for Terra's darkness to take over and allow Master Xehanort's plans to take form. And yet she had a strong connection to Ventus. Weak, insignificant and a tool that will eventually lead to the forging of the X-blade. And above all that, he was Vanitas's enemy. Every time he mentioned her, Master Xehanort was besides himself - for years Vanitas had showed no signs of light in him, he showed nothing but hatred and anger and resentment. Every day he handled the missions he was given with brutality, he had a vicious fighting style, overpowering his enemies by channelling the darkness in him. Why was he letting this weakness in? It happened more often lately and it happened today. Vanitas woke early as per his Master's demands. "Awaken Vanitas!" the old Master Xehanort said. "Every minute that you sleep, Ventus grows more powerful than you do." Vanitas was up in an instant, donning his mask and armour and ready for a battle within minutes. "Not a chance, Master." he said, calm and getting increasingly cocky in his confidence as his powers and abilities were growing, becoming more of an asset to his master. "Oh really? Then we can skip the formalities. Show me what we went over yesterday before we begin today's assignment." Master Xehanort said and with a wave of his white glove covered hand an unversed was spawned into the training room. But itch itch, her image returned to Vanitas again. Like a bad itch he would never be able to scratch off. He thought about her as he struggled to fight against the unversed enemies, his dark powers failing to destroy them as they usually did, merely wounding instead. She was the same girl he saw sparring with Ventus that day at the land of departure. The same one he met. As he observed how Ventus was fighting he saw her, her blue eyes and her blue hair, she carried herself strong, her keyblade fighting style was as majestic as it was masterful. She made her swings look like choreographed dances at times, but her use of magic and strong attacks made her more stronger than her beautiful appearance would let on. After the two of them had battled, Ventus left and went in to speak to Master Eraqus. And Aqua remained outside, she was stitching together was Vanitas could only see as good luck charms. As Vanitas gazed upon her, he saw her not as an enemy but as something else, he wasn't quite sure, a friend? Something more? Either way it was a far cry from the hate and fiery aggression that filled him just a moment ago. And when she spoke to him her voice was soft and calming, not at all like the viciousness he received from his Master, Xehanort. But he appreciated it. His master punished him to make him stronger. Stop thinking of her Vanitas. Stop the itching. Stop the scratching. And yet as Vanitas readied his keyblade against the unversed in front of him, itch itch, the feeling returned to him again, striking him harder than his physical swishes of the blade were to the unversed, he channelled the feeling and used it as power believing it would help to soothe the itch in his mind. A bright blue beam of water shot out of his keyblade, the edges of the blade raised toward the creature. The blast shot across the room, it took the unversed with it and pinned it against the wall and then both the water and the unversed were gone in an instant. Master Xehanort's menacing grin turned to a frown of anger his expectant look turned briefly to one of confusion and then back to anger, he knew this magic. Light. Vanitas was supposed to be created from pure darkness, why had this happened? No. This plan was years in now, Master Xehanort knew his destiny, he knew that Vanitas and Ventus must clash. But the light had to stay away from Vanitas. "There you see! She makes you weak boy! She sees you as the enemy she uses this against you." But she hadn't. She was kind. She cared and she always put her friends before herself. The short amount of time Vanitas had spent with her before Master Xehanort disallowed him to see her any more was a happy one. Don't talk to her, don't see her, don't even think about her, those were his instructions to him. The radiance of her soul and heart made him stronger. SLICE! "AH!" Vanitas was so wrapped up in his thoughts of her that he didn't notice Master Xehanort had summoned in another unversed. The creatures sharp claw slashed at his arm holding the keyblade. He slammed the blade down in frustration. The pain had at least cleared his mind of the thoughts he was having but it didn't take long for them to return. But the unversed in front of him was destroyed by Master Xehanort, who had approached the area Vanitas was fighting. Vanitas felt the wind swish past him as the tip of Xehanort's No Name keyblade passed his face. And yet through all this, the itch persisted in his mind. She would be taking her Mark Of Mastery exam soon and with that Vanitas and his master's plan would finally begin. All the training, all the physical and mental attacks from his master, they would be all leading up to this. He had the light, the feelings for her beaten out of him by his master enough now. He hated her and yet he did not. Why did he have to hate her? Was it an extension of his hate for Ventus? Was it a reflection of the hate that had consumed Master Xehanort? If I have faith that says to a mountain "jump" and it jumps but I don't love, I'm nothing. Did he love her? No he couldn't. He was born from darkness. So then why did he feel powerful when he thought of her in a warm and positive light? The only thing he was certain of was that he either wanted to be with her or for these cursed thoughts to leave him for good. For a moment his mind had left the room but was bought back into it as the metal smashed into his ribs. Screaming out in pain, he barely had time to react any further before he saw her there again, this time Aqua smiled at Vanitas, just as she did that day and she spoke to him, his vision and hearing was blurred even within his mind but he understood what she was saying "It's okay. You can lose yourself to the darkness, I'll be there to get you back." And with that the No Name keyblade pierced Vanitas this time in the chest. The last thing Vanitas saw was a blue light leaving him, it coursed through the keyblade and into the gazing eye that trademarked the hilt. When Vanitas awoke some time later, the itching had stopped. Only now it felt like it had never been there. Forgotten in a dark void with Ventus's other weaknesses that had been destroyed from him. He hurt but he couldn't remember why. "Vanitas?" Xehanort looked at him expectantly "Yes, Master?" He replied, gathering his breath and slowly standing. "Do you remember her?" Vanitas looked confused, who in the World was his master talking about? "Aqua?" "Yes boy. What is her use to us?" Xehanort knew of course but he needed to hear it from Vanitas. "She is our enemy along with Terra... And Ventus. Terra's destiny will lead her to hers. And I will destroy Ventus myself. The X-blade will be ours!" And Master Xehanort could no longer sense that light, that weakness within Vanitas had gone. No more scratching. No more itch. "At last. You are ready." Vanitas's training was complete.
  14. I haven't but I would like to that's good to hear.
  15. I was able to go to MVMCP for the first time at the end of last year. It was really cool. Was strange being in Florida where it was about 28 degrees C out, it was minus 1 when I left England. I go to WDW semi often and I would definitely go to MVMCP again, already planning it for this year actually
  16. I'm also wandering about this. The website I could have sworn did mention London but there's no listed date for it in the list. No UK performances at all even by the looks of it. Looks like I may have some travelling to do. But also I am a little bit concerned about going to see it and then its just full of screaming fans.
  17. They did change the gameplay a tiny bit in the remake but I still say its the definitive way to play the game for sure. The original PS2 release had horrendous frame rae drops and to be honest with you the PS3 remaster didn't do a whole lot better in places lol. But yeah the PS4 remake runs a lot smoother and is infinitely better to look at. Either way though its the scale of the game and its fantastic minimalist approach to story telling and world building that will really stand out.
  18. All of them. All of the games. There are still so many coming out between now and KH3 and some I need to go back and get from last year too. But I have recently played Megaton Rainfall, Bayonetta 2, Mario Odyssey, Monster Hunter World and Shadow of the Colossus. Next game I am waiting for I think is God of War. And I also want to replay Persona 5 for sure because that was my game of the year for 2017 so definitely want to go back and max out all the confidants etc.
  19. I live in the UK and so when KH2 released in the US a bit before the UK release did I spent about £180 in all to get 1) A copy of the game imported with its import duties etc paid, 2) a new TV that could display the game properly as NTSC games it turned out use a different signal. 3)A Slide Card kit for the PS2 to play games from other regions. Of course after all that by the time everything was working the game was out over here about a month later so I could have just waited but that's neither here nor there, right?
  20. I would think so. Nothing major though until E3 with that sweet release date. At this point though I think they have shown enough to be honest. I am quite content to just wait knowing that the game is actually releasing this year. I do hope a full version of Don't Think Twice will release soon though. Unless the lyrics give away major themes of the plot.
  21. If it comes out in September still then I'll buy it. If it comes out November 29th I'll still buy it, but it will be a more polished version. I mean I'm assuming the game is basically done now by this point and they are really just ironing any graphical / technical aspects and bugs they can fix. Working on getting a more stable frame rate and all that stuff. The last thing I want is for this game to come out and be the No Man's Sky of action-RPG games. If they need a couple of months to finish a game that's been in development for years already then I think that's understandable. People in this thread were saying "Oh it NEEDS to come out in September, on time." well I would say the game needs to be awesome more than it needs to come out on time. The disappointment from fans of a delay will be nowhere near proportionate to the amount of disappointment that will come if it releases and its a technical shitshow. I know it sounds like I'm making excuses but again, No Man's Sky, a game which literally released this week is a perfect example of what happens when you push a massively hyped game out just a couple of months ahead of when it really should be. I mean why anyone cares at all about release dates for games these days is beyond me... I just see a game's initial trailer and then I'm like "Cool, I'll get that when its available." its why I don't really post a lot in the Kingdom Hearts 3 section on here. I'm getting the game when its out as long as I'm still alive by then, I don't have anything else to say about it really. And that's where I'm at with FFXV as well.
