This May 6th marks the ten year anniversary of the European launch of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GameBoy Advance, having shipped roughly 200,000 units in Europe and 1.55 million copies worldwide. Though it is considered the least successful game in the Kingdom Hearts series, it has still received generally positive reviews, with the most praise directed towards the story. The tagline for this is "Adventure is in the cards." Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was first announced, along with Kingdom Hearts II, at the Tokyo Game Show in September of 2003. The idea for a intermediary game began after Tetsuya Nomura and his team had already begun plans for Kingdom Hearts II. The original title then was Kingdom Hearts: Lost Memories, but the title was changed to match the premise of game, while keeping the theme of memories. It also provided a way to start Kingdom Hearts II with Sora and co. not having access to the abilities and equipment earned in the first game. While Nomura was hesitant to release a Kingdom Hearts game on the GBA, after considering his options and planning accordingly, and hearing that children wanted a Kingdom Hearts game for the GBA, he changed his mind. Since then, Chain of Memories has been released for the PS2 as Re:Chain of Memories and for the PS3 as part of Kingdom Hearts: 1.5 HD ReMIX. Of note is Jupiter's involvement in game development. The card system employed by Chain of Memories inspired the gameplay of Jupiter's next game "The World Ends With You". While many people clearly had fun with Chain of Memories for the GBA, PS2, and PS3, I want to know what you thought about the game. Did you have fun? Kingdom Hearts was released in Japan on the PlayStation 2 on March 28, 2002.

I finished my first Kingdom Hearts game - 358/2 Days. I remember not knowing half of what was going on at the end but still feeling very bittersweet. I remember how Dearly Beloved after the credits made me want to cry (the only version of that song to ever do that). And I remember eating ice cream bars because they made me feel like I was eating sea salt ice cream.

And that Trophy Popped. Now on to Wizards Relic and I shall have all the weapons. Another 1000 heartless to take down. Defenders ended up being 962

I was just in a discussion about how FF bosses have multiple forms, and this just sprang to mind. Villains having Final Forms seem to work best when it is clearly set up. Neither World of Chaos nor Xemnas's Dragoon seem to be. Same with Marluxia.

So I was wondering I beat 358 2 days for the eighth time half an hour ago and felt alot of things missing and things I wish they would have done differently. I feel that they will remake the game for the 3ds because they probably wont be able to do any other kingdom hearts games for the 3ds maybe ports but nothing else. I hope that if they remake it they voice act ALL cut scenes I know its a big deal but I feel like its worth it overall and I want to see the 3d models with more detail and emotion. I wish they used sprites like the world ends with you for a more clean look and a different type of feeling like modern retro. I also think that there should be secret bosses etc axel sora orginization members. Do YOU think they will remake 358 3 days? tell me your thoughts

After watching so many YouTube videos about the series, reading many of the threads here on the site, and learning about the story of Chi and AAAAAAALL of the theories out there, I have come to one conclusion: I am utterly lost when it comes to the KH lore now. Like stupidly lost. Like, I'm playing a game whose story is just slapping me in the face every second while I like it. By asking the following questions, I know I'm probably gonna get the classic, "why start a new thread, all the answers are ______" ; " so and so already answered ______________" ; "here's the link to find out ___________ and __________" etc. But at least for my sake and love of the series,I guess I'd like to have once single page to get CLEAR and maybe DEFINITIVE answers to the mind boggle I have right now. Here goes: 1. In KH1, Sora could only WIELD the keyblade because of Ven's presence in his heart. I know that Sora never got his OWN k'blade, but by the end of the game, the k'blade CHOSE him over Riku due to Riku's entanglement with darkness even though it was initially Riku's keyblade. True or False? (if true, then sora won't lose the keyblade that chose him even if Ven's heart leaves him in KH3?) 2. KH1: When Sora releases his heart to release Kairi's with the Keyblade of People's Hearts, his Nobody Roxas is formed. Right? Right. But does Ven's heart get transferred into Roxas or does it stick around with Sora all the time? Just want to make sure... This also reminds me of something I read on this site: 2b. Since Roxas=Sora's Nobody and Nobody= Body left behind by Heartless, I read somewhere on here that after the events of KH1 and all through out CoM until Roxas merges with Sora in KHII, Sora is theoretically a "walking heart" since Roxas has his "left behind body" until the end of Roxas' story? Or does Sora recoup his body as seen in KH1 and Roxas... also keeps his body...? Does that have any merit or am i really just out of my mind?? 3. Roxas dual wields because of Sora and Ven, or because of Sora and Xion? And Sora can dual wield because of Ven and because he got the synch blade ability from Roxas after merging, right? 4. I played DDD when it first came out and im fuzzy on the story as of now: So Roxas and Xion grew their own heart after a while and there's a possibility of them coming back as their own people person in KH3? 5. ... If 4 is true.. does that mean that Sora, as of the end of DDD, is housing 3 hearts: Ven, Roxas, and Xion? Or does the fact that Xion is at this point a forgotten memory made from memories disqualify her from ultimately coming back? (Which, incidentally, leads me to another question: IF Roxas & Xion grew a heart, then that means Axel did too. If Lea is back due to his HL/NB being destroyed.. does that mean that Lea would then house Axel's new grown heart in him? or does the new heart thing not apply to his happenstance and is still just one heart?) Too many questions. Gonna go lie down now.

I don't recall Marluxia ever elaborating as to why he wanted to overthrow the Organization, so I was thinking about why... maybe it was because he found out about the plan to turn everyone into Xehanort? Maybe he wanted to destroy those super loyal to Xemnas? (Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, and Saix come to mind) I suppose he could've just wanted to be the leader and be all pompous and whatnot, but I feel like there would've been more to his reasons.

ALRIGHT, so this may or may not have already been discussed, but just in case, I'll bring it up again. I've been trophy collecting for KH1 in 1.5, and for some reason, Wizard's Relic has been terribly difficult to obtain. I've equipped Lucky Strike for Sora, Donald, AND Goofy and I've fought around 1,000 Wizards, and I've yet to see a Wizard's Relic. I've checked in all the good areas to find and fight them, but nothing seems to be helping. I know the drop rate is significantly low, but I feel like I've been looking for forever. Is anyone else having this issue?

I-I just beat the first kingdom heart in 1.5 .... .... I cried. I've seen the ending on youtube but...it's not the same.....I just couldn't take it.... *cries even more* I'm going to admit something now....I've never actually beaten the first kingdom hearts before...I never got past Ansem (I know, I should be ashamed) I noticed things I didn't when I saw it on the ocmputer....I had this feeling of accomplishment, but also deep sadness.... Maybe part of it was because I knew that Sora & Kairi wouldn't see each other and Riku again until they were different people. Just thinking about that gave me sad feels. I think I need a moment...*cries*

Just as the title states, what is a true kh fan to you ? does it involve buying all the games including Japanese ones or knowing what goes on in the story ? edit: im not saying anything about being a true fan but i know people who think they are more of a fan cuz they go out of their way to buy all the games and call themselves "true fans." Also they claim to know more about the game than alot of fans

Something I've noticed about DAYS, KH II, and the KH II manga is it doesn't seem to be able to pick a design for the clocktower. In KH II, the area the group meets is flat, just a surface that leads outward, and they hang their feet over the side while sitting on the flat area. In DAYS, there's a ledge, about a foot higher than the flat area, and the group sits on the ledge, which is wide enough for Xion to walk on (and fall off of). In the KH II manga, same thing: flat area, no ledge. Why the sudden change in architecture? Was the ledge removed before KH II? Just something to think about.
