Of all the Lego Star Wars levels for the game to crash when I'm about 3/4 of the way through, it just had to be freaking Defense On Kashyyk... That's half an hour down the drain thanks to controller crap.

Shulk repliedI shall try my hardest to remain strong. I'll hopefully get to attempt it again soon and actually complete it this time. I guess the computer didn't like having another controller plugged in mid-level, and glitched out. Couldn't leave the pause menu on either controller, or even with the keyboard. I was so close to finishing, too... ;_;
HeyMouseSayCheese repliedJeez, you'd think a game that has built in drop-in/drop-out co-op would be able to handle a second controller being plugged in. I've been noticing myself how Lego Star Wars isn't exactly the most optimized PC port.

It set the second controller to P1, so my brother and I tried using different USB ports and stuff to switch who was P1. In the end, it just screwed up. I'm loving the game again (Especially the new updates in the Complete Saga, since I only ever rented it once as a kid), but it's a bit of a strange port. I'm just glad I'm able to use a PS2 controller with it, I can't imagine using a keyboard.HeyMouseSayCheese repliedYeah, the updated stuff is really nice, especially how they fixed the vehicle levels for Episode 1 and 2, but they didn't fix a lot of stuff they should have from the original game. (Why can't Wookies dodge, for instance.) And yeah, I can never imagine playing any of the Lego games sans controller.

Shulk replied@1 Yeah, the updated vehicle levels are cool (Gunship Cavalry is still a bit frustrating, but I seemed to remember it being a lot longer). I miss Yoda's flying chair thing, but I'm glad he doesn't hop around everywhere when he's got his Lightsaber out anymore. There definitely are a few more things that could have been fixed for (Like useless characters... Do Palpatine and Boss Nass even doing anything?)
@2 I found a USB adapter online. It was around $4 I think...

I don't know if you came across them yet, but you actually can unlock the original Pod Race and Gunship Cavalry levels from the first Lego Star Wars, and they're... special, to say the least. And yeah, the first LSW had quite a few useless characters- the gonk droid, the Kaminoans, 3 versions of the same battle droid, yadda yadda. At least it's reference heavy!
2. Ugh, me dumb. That never even occurred to me.
Shulk replied@1 Yeah, I've unlocked most of the bonus levels. I haven't played them yet, but... I'm kind of worried to do so, now that I'm used to the updated versions. Also, I think that the second had some useless characters, too. It's nice for the roster, but it'd be nice if they did something. Even the Complete Saga added some who are just odd choices.
@2 It's something I didn't even realize existed until I tried to hunt one down for the PS3.
I was worried...HeyMouseSayCheese repliedThey're luckily not nearly as bad as they originally were since there's no minikits to collect and no True Jedi meter to worry about. They're still shitty levels, though.
And the second game did have some useless characters too, but I think that's just a thing in every Lego game. There are more than enough characters that actually do things to give you plenty of variety, there's just also a bunch of dumb easter egg characters that make 100% a tad harder to get.

So I ended up having to get a new car cuz of my wreck. Got a 2006 Hyundai Sonata. With the left over money I saved on it, I finally got a PS4 in celebration of the end of my first year of college. Got Infamous Second Son, LBP3, Murdered: Soul Suspect, and AC Unity
