It's really weird that Pokemon X and Y is the only Pokemon gen that didn't have any kind of squeal or third game
WakingDawn96 repliedYeah, it is, especially when the anime even had Pokemon XY & Z. But who really knows why they didn't give XY anything other than Hoenn remakes?
WakingDawn96 repliedAt least Alola doesn't have to share XY's fate and instead gets to be explored more, as I actually enjoyed my time playing the game, just they need to do something about the post game because it was very lackluster.

I came back dripping wet from head to toe as if I just climbed out of the swimming pool. I stepped on a puddle and was almost knee deep dammit.

Gosh, today was amazing with Pokemon news, but I don't know if my heart and my wallet are ready for E3, I mean this could quite literally be one of the biggest gaming years ever! My mind and my body are ready, but I might just pass out from all of the news if we get awesome titles announced! But either way, today was great and I can't wait for all things Pokemon!

WakingDawn96 repliedTrust me, my favorite region is Sinnoh, and I wanted to revisit it for a long time now, but I still don't see it happening yet. Maybe next year or the year after we will get it? But if not, I don't mind waiting. As long as the Pokemon series keeps being alive, I mind what we really end up getting, cause I just want to remain a Pokemon fan forever!

Anyways, there is without a doubt already so muchbnew content added to these two games if you look hard enough. There's the obviously legendaries, the possibility that there will be new areas on the map to explore, the fact that these games are supposed to be "an alternate telling" of Sun and Moon. Clouded Sun repliedActually I had a lot of hours clocked into Sun, Diamond, and Crystal (endgame was basically part II in those games). Don't know if it was just me, but those games just felt more attractive to go back into and play.

I don't usually get let down by game releases, but US/UM was a bummer. I can only assume the close release dates for everything mean they're working on Gen 4 Switch remakes for next year.
WakingDawn96 repliedI'd say, this is what we are most likely going to get for this year, however they always seem to surprise you with a new announcement the following year, or if that doesn't happen, then the year after that. So if I were you, which I too am looking towards a Gen 4 remake, I would just wait until next year, as sad as that may seem.
BlankShell repliedOh, for sure; the fact that these release dates are so soon implies there probably won't be anything until after E3, which is a bummer! I'd imagine another Pokemon Direct in December.
WakingDawn96 repliedI don't expect Pokemon Switch news until early next year to be honest, as announcing it in December would be too soon after release of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and would ruin holiday sales for the 3DS. They would need to announce Pokemon Switch at just the right time or else it could blow up in the way they want to market their sales.
WakingDawn96 repliedAnd I am not this qualified Game Freak member, but I do know a thing or two about sale numbers and I have been a fan since I was 2 of Pokemon, so I know when they normally do a reveal, and so the Switch probably won't come into full play until next year and the announcement will come early next year as well.
BlankShell repliedVery true; I was thinking that X/Y had been announced in December (since B2/W2 were in October) but now I see that was January, so that's more likely. Winter, at any rate.

So Nintendo fans wanted a Pokémon game for the Switch and a new/better version of Sun/Moon. And they do get a Pokémon game for the Switch and a new/better version of Sun/Moon. But they are still complaining?! I really dislike this whole complaining/hating attitude...
BlankShell repliedLook, all I wanted was a mainline game on the Switch. I wanted a reason to GET a Switch. I didn't want a barely rehashed game on an engine that is clearly past its sell-by date.
Akeyroh repliedI understand that people want a mainline game on the Switch but the Switch came out 3 months ago. They need time to develop these games. There are more people out there having a 3DS so it makes sense that they focus on that. Besides, mainline Pokémon games were always exclusively for the handheld. The Switch is a hybrid. So it could be possible that we won't get a mainline game on the Switch.
KingdomHearts3 repliedNot surprised at all that fans get exactly what they want and yet still find something to complain about. Don't be surprised once KH3 is here and in a matter of weeks or even less, someone on here posts a thread saying they were disappointed with or did not like KH3.
KingdomHearts3 repliedNo matter what, fans like that are never satisfied and will always look for the negatives. They claim to be "realistic," but that's utter bull and a cover up for their pessimism.
BlankShell repliedIt's a bit disingenuous to say fans "got what they want". Nobody who said they wanted a remake of Sun/Moon was expecting it to be for the 3DS based on those various reports we got last year. And yeah, it takes time to develop these games, but... they have Tournament for the Switch, so they've obviously got people working on it. US/UM are likely a stopgap, but since that's what S/M were, it's frustrating.
Shulk replied@BlankShell Those reports were made up to get attention and the same person who spread them got a lot of other things entirely wrong, too. People should've realized Stars was fake after all the stuff she said would be featured in the January presentation wasn't there at all. People have been faking Nintendo leaks for years, it shouldn't be a surprise when they turn out to be fake at this point.
WakingDawn96 repliedWell I see where some fans are coming from, they wanted a new Sun and Moon title that was in HD on the Switch, (I also wanted a title on the Switch, but even I realized how that isn't likely for another good year or so), but that being said, Nintendo still wants to market the 3DS until it completely runs out of energy and dies, so Pokemon is the sure fire way to make that happen. But I still get where people are coming from, but if I were them (and again I kinda was), I would just be happ...
