i want to exercise but I don't know where to start
Think Pink repliedi can tell you what i did to start if you think that will help?? i had to get in shape like ultra fast for rotc and pt team.
Lalalablah repliedDo you want to lose weight or gain muscle? Start running or jogging, doing squats (that word makes me laugh), but some weights to lift, do sit ups or push-ups, invest in a pull-up bar
Think Pink repliedfirst you've got to know your baselines. you can't just start without knowing anything. so hop on a treadmill and run as far as you can. when i first started i barely made it a mile, but that's the important baseline to know. once you find your baseline, for a week, keep hitting it. (do this with pushups, even if you have to do half-pushups, crunches, etc) after a week, bump it up (if you run a mile baseline, bump it to 1.25 miles, if 50 curlups is a baseline, bump it up to 55 or...
Think Pink repliedit depends on you!! i needed to be extremely fit so i did everything with only 1 rest day a week. but if you're going for more of a casual non-psycho fitness, you could do one type each day. personally though, i think it's better to combine multiple things into one day. for instance, for my workout tonight, i'm going to run for 40 minutes, and then walk on a big incline for 20. That's a combination of cardio and strength training, and as my warm up i usually do 100 sit...
Think Pink replieddammit it cut off. 100 situps and 80 pushups. imo you get a better workout working multiple things rather than just focusing on one. that sounds fine for today, but like i said, today you should get a baseline. do as many/go as far as you possibly can and use that as a baseline!!
Lalalablah repliedThat's good. You have to work on your own pace, if you feel good about yourself it is good, and you can always increase the intensity later.
Think Pink repliedthat's definitely not a bad place to start!! what was the pace? and an incline is like walking uphill. big incline = steep hill.
umm that's a really hard question to answer omg. it took me a few months of insane working out to get where i am, and the past 2 years has just been maintaining that. i consider being able to run a 5k in less than 28 minutes (the usmc standard) fit, but "extremely" fit would be doing it in 15 or 20.

That awkward moment when you shank someone, but they don't die, and your shank breaks, so you just run and hope no one saw
