Post your theories below about who you think it the traitor and why, and I will edit this post to include them. Theories that I've thought of: There is no traitor, it was all just a set-up by the Master of Masters. The Master of Masters is the traitor, because he set them all up (this one is sort of just another way to interpret the first theory). They're all the traitor, because they all turned against each other at some point (just another way to interpret the first theory). Luxu is the traitor, because the Lost Page talks about an inevitable betrayal by "the one who bears the sigil" and Luxu is the only one with an "x" in his name (presumably. The Master of Masters' name might be "X Super", so he could be a candidate for the traitor as well.) Saix/Isa is the traitor. Who ever said the Book of Prophecies was talking about an inevitable betrayal in the age of fairy tales? Maybe it was talking about a betrayal in the future (present-day)? All of the Seekers of Darkness "bear the sigil", but the person I can most likely see betraying Xehanort is Saix/Isa. Aced is the traitor. "The one who bears the sigil" could be a bear pun, because Aced has a bear mask. This one seems silly, but the Master of Masters is very silly sometimes, so who knows. The Player is the traitor, because we are told by the Master of Masters that if there's a Nightmare Chirithy, it belongs to the traitor. The only person we know to have a Nightmare Chirithy is the Player. (It could've just been a part of the Master of Masters manipulating them and setting them up though of course).

[This setting takes place many years before the events of games like birth by sleep and KH1. I feel this is probably the easiest to enter simply because it doesn't display the characters in the rest of the series like Sora or Riku. However, there is an element that connects to the entire franchise I may display as spoilers. I recommend you understand the other games just in case. So, please read with caution] - - - - - - - - - Long, long ago, during the time known to be the age of fairy tales, many Keybalde wielders reside in a place called DayBreak Town. We follow a group of people known as the Foretellers, who were under the teachings of their master, simply known as the Master of Masters. The Master assigned each of his five apprentices [Ira (EE-RA), Invi, Aced (AH-SAID), Ava, and Gula] a copy of his Book of Prophecies and a role they must follow. The sixth apprentice, Luxu (LOO-SHU) was sent away to carry out his role without the book. Once set, the master disappears without a trace. Meanwhile, the foretellers lead their unions and carry out their roles. One day, they discover that there is a traitor amongst them. It is up to them to see who the traitor is while keeping up with their role to keep this land alive despite the inevitable fate that is to come. - - - - - - - - - - This title is unique simply because it is mostly the movie. So, there are no gameplay thoughts on this (will get to that bit with my Union Cross posts). So, this more a less a movie review. As you know, this takes place in the past. I really like the world building in the series. I always find fascinating on how it has their own world and trying to connect some of the Disney worlds (note, there are no Disney worlds displayed in this movie). This adds to the world building and it's history. As for the characters.... kinda meh for me....at least with the foretellers. Despite them being young, they are incredibly stale and not fun. I mean, I can tell which is which they have some sort of identity...sort of. However, there is only one character that seems to stand out and gave me a few good chuckles and and some fun, that being the Master of Masters. Despite him having no face to show and wears the coat, he had the most personality than any character in this particular title. He can be fun and silly but can easily switch to being serious and hard to read making him the, by far, most mysterious character in the series. The story is really nothing special. I was actually excited at first in hopes to see the big important event in the engine. But no, the focus are the in sections for each of the foretellers known as cases. It's not terrible, it's just kinda boring. They each display their conversation with the Master of Masters and what roles they are bestowed to fulfill. For example, we have the case of Ira, the master of masters bestowed him leadership to lead the foretellers. I will leave the rest of the cases for you to watch. But there are 2 cases I find more fascinating that actually effect the events in the series. [THIS SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS] Ava's case more or so effect the events in this timeline a bit of the rest of the series. Her role was to gather a large amount of talented Keyblade wielders to flee from the inevitable event and keep the light alive. They are labeled as the Dandelions. This case also effects certain characters in this timeline, but will read into that in one of my future Union cross reviews. We have the case of Luxu. His role was to just simply watch the big important event unfold. He was also talked to carry a couple of items with him: one being Xehanort's Keyblade and a mysterious black box. The fact that his Keyblade is now a vital thing makes far more connected to KH3. Then there is the mysterious black box. As I write this, I do not know how KH3 will approach this maguffin. But, it is so unknown what inside the box, all we could do was just come up with theories.

I have a theory of what's in the box that the Master of Masters was dragging. I think it might be the 13 pieces of darkness of the shattered χ-blade. The χ-blade shattered into 20 pieces: 13 of darkness and 7 of light. We know that it broke into 7 pieces of light in order to protect the hearts of the Seven Princesses of Heart, but we don't know exactly what that means. Especially considering the Seven Princesses of Heart weren't alive way back then. But maybe it means that the χ-blade shattered into 7 pieces of light which would then become the Seven Princess of Heart's hearts in the future? Also, we were never told what happened to the 13 pieces of darkness. If a heart of pure darkness and a heart of pure light clash, then the χ-blade is recreated, but it is unstable. In DDD, it is revealed that Xehanort plans on capturing the Seven Princesses again so that they can clash with the 13 Seekers of Darkness to recreate the χ-blade. But, how can this be? The 13 Seekers of Darkness don't have hearts of pure darkness, so how would them clashing with the pure-hearted princesses recreate the χ-blade? I think I might know the answer. I believe that Xehanort wants to find that case that the Master of Masters has or maybe he already has it. If the 13 pieces of darkness from the shattered χ-blade are in that case, then Xehanort can take them and put them into each of the 13 Seekers of Darkness' hearts to turn them into hearts of pure darkness. Then, he can clash with the Princesses of Heart to recreate the χ-blade, but this time, a much more stable one. It'd actually pretty much be the original χ-blade because it'd be created from the original shattered pieces. So yeah, what do you think of this theory? Anything I could add to it?

In this issue of Famitsu it was stated that the Master of Masters has eyes that can see into the future. Using this ability, he wrote the Book of Prophecies. What if the Master of Masters' eyes are yellow? Ya know, like Xehanort's eyes. What if these yellow eyes that Xehanort has allows him to see into the future? That would definitely explain how he has been such an amazing tactician and has been able to predict pretty much everything that has happened so far. He even majorly surprised Yen Sid that he was able to predict such insane things. In Dream Drop Distance, Young Xehanort and Sora had this conversation. Sora questions Young Xehanort how Xehanort knew that Sora would be on Destiny Islands for his Mark of Mastery in the Realm of Sleep on that exact day. Young Xehanort just replies with "Simple." which obviously is not an answer. I've always assumed that this would be answered in 2.8 or KH3, and I think I might've finally found my answer. Thoughts? EDIT: This theory has been debunked by Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.

Thrice ROFL Ok, this is more related to Back Cover, considering Unchained X is the same time in the story of Back Cover. SO, I thought I might share my avatar. With the magic of editing after screen shooting, I figured this would make it stand out. Not exactly artistic, at least by traditional standards, but I thought I could share it for the LOLs. So, hope you all enjoy the editing of this at least ^^ (BTW, I am in the Vulpes Union if anyone is asking LOL) This screenshot was from Unchained X and edited by adding filters and text using an app called Snapseed Unchained X © Disney and Square Enix

I have started work on my "Road to 2.8" November piece. Decided that this one was going to be themed around Back Cover. I was super excited about drawing the foretellers as I love their character designs. This is just a work in progress sketch for now. Just wanted to give you guys a little sneak peek! Let me know what you all think!

I have issues regarding the latest trailer about the Unchained X. I'll be making it a point chronologically 1. The very first line we got is "this world is full of light". Let me emphasize it. "THIS WORLD". So basically, the unchained x is taking place in the WORLD that is already SEPARATED from one another. Meanwhile, in the Chi, or unchained chi world, it is implied that the world is ONE and connect with each other. But the Black Hooded guy specifically mentions "THIS world" so it means that the world is already separated, which means, this is not from the past, but merely a world with a past-looking time. Remember that tron world looks so futuristic while Mulan world looks so traditional? It means that every world can have a different aspect of time 2. "Darkness will prevail, and the light will expire". Kinda rings the bell huh? 3. The Book of Prophecies contains all the event from the future. But why this event isn't written there?. It might be because the master intended it , OR the master didn't see it coming. The latter seems promising though. You see, maybe the Master indeed foresee the future, but what if there is an anomaly? By which I mean, SOMEONE FROM THE OTHER WORLD wreaking havoc in a world that making the world unstable, and thus, cannot be predicted by the master because the master can only foresee the world itself without any consideration of any outsiders coming to the world 4. Then next we see a scene where Unicornis spoke humbly to the black hooded guy. At first I thought it was the master but let's look at the "master". He wasn't wise, he was some sort of a slacker, and he was childish, his voice also very childish, Xigbar? Is that you?. Then why Unicornis spoke very humbly? It's maybe because the hooded guy was some sort like their master, can foresee the future or seems to have feat above the other foretellers. I assume that this guy is actually Xigbar/Braig. Why? Because in both games we saw King Mickey trio went to their world with GUMMI SHIP. And gummi ship is a tool to visit another world. Which means, if this game happened in the past there is no way Mickey would be alive. Thus, making the Xigbar Theory approvable. Why is Xigbar there? It might be related to his "own plan" that he said to Young Xehanort in a secret ending 5. "We need to defy the master teachings to protect the world" -Ursus. This guy is really a traitor if i might say. Why he wanted to defy master teachings? Simply because we could see in the game, that the black hooded guy, is manipulating the foretellers to believe that the traitor is among them to create a war and wreak havoc between them. And ursus, because of the master is gone, was led to believe the Black Hooded man, who seemed to be godlike or know the future or master-like or whatever. In the previous scene the Black Hooded guy even disapprove to prevent the war, meaning that He DO proposed to create a war. Welp, a long post. Potatoes everyone?

When the game was first announced many people were irritated by another ' side game' being released by Square. However I disagreed then and I still hold the opinion even more so now that 2.8 is a blessing and well needed. 1) Most important reason ( imo) is that we've hit a brick wall with KH3, we've reverted to what world do you want... Is this world likely to appear even more so... And even worse the negativity has increased tremendously; however this isn't a rant about that... ( believe me I could). Heck people are even excited over a voice actor not recording which is actually a joke. Therefore 2.8 provides us with something NEW to talk about. I have no doubt 0.2 from a lore perspective will provide loads of new topics, eg why did Mickey keep this a secret? How has Aqua found a way to save Terra and Ven? Does this mean Lea isn't a light? Has Sora returned yet; is he a master now? Even in the space of a minute I've thought of new topics to discuss. 2) Back Cover- I included this in a separate paragraph for a number of reasons. Firstly the release of unchained chi ( hello to anyone from my party reading this) has given us something to play and work on until further notice; the plot will be relevant to 3 and also watching back cover will provide us with a complete picture. Also Back Cover has the potential to either dismiss the rebirth theory or greatly enhance it. Again this kick start a debate which we lack real evidence for in the long run. 3) Dream Drop Distance- whilst an old entry to the series; comparing and contrasting the gameplay between the 3ds and ps4 will be fun and it will be interesting to identify differences. 4) first hand look at the Kingdom Shader- this will answer a lot of people's questions regarding the graphics and design of the game 5) character design- I'm sure we all remember the reactions to Mr Shiny Forehead, sorry Yen Sid's design, I for one made a post about good the door and take looked instead; yes I am sad enough to appreciate the surroundings in games- don't mock me, even though you probably will. 2.8 will allow us to see the progress in character designs from that trailer and get an idea what they'll look like in 3. 6) this game serves no harm- I doubt kh3 was scheduled for this year regardless whether this game was a thing or not. Therefore we only gained by having the game being released; we get an old game to enjoy again, a cool film and a new game. Nobody can knock this or would you rather have nothing? Overall, 2.8 is a blessing and I'm throughly looking forward to playing the games/watching the movie and engaging in new debates with people, predicting what the future has in store for us. It is a good time to be a KH fan and we should enjoy ourselves instead of looking for issues all the time. I have a saying ( pun not intended due to my name) that if you look for negatives you'll only find negatives and never see the positives in anything. Have a great weekend whatever you're doing!
