Just curious, but it seems like so many people just hate Xion. If you are a Xion-hater, I'd really appreciate it if you gave some valid reasons why. So none of that "SHE COCKBLOCKS ROXAS AND AXEL OMFG AKUROKU FOREVEEERRRRR" no none of that crap please. But anyways, if you could post a reason on why you hate Xion or why you think she's a Mary Sue, that would be great.

Yes I didn't  read everything being said cause I just love Xion. I can't understand why and you may explain me many and many times about it but my opinion won't change. She will be my fav char on the Saga. Yes she did mistakes but like everyone did she did so...she is innocent she's done nothing wrong and when she found out about everything involving her she tried to atone her mistakes and she dies asking Roxas to undo what she had done cause she was running out of time. So yeh I do still believe IDK why ppl hate her it's the nicest char in the saga and it's the more dramatic, sad one and this is a great advantage to her. I'm not trying to offense you but you did offence me, I did read the previous post not all but I did most of them and still  I just can't understand why cause in me eyes she is the best char in the saga and that's sth that none is gonna change.

 

One can like a character and still understand and acknowledge their flaws. I don't even hate Xion, I just have an extremely neutral stance on her but I still understand why people like or hate her and what makes her function properly or otherwise as a character. Turning the other cheek to other people's opinions does more harm than good really.  

I like Xion and found her death saddening. So emotional. ICE CREAM!

She was annoying in certain parts of the game, but what character isnt?  I think Xion just takes more time to warm up to.  Because I didnt like her at first either, but now I have more appreciation for her.

Ehh I feel neutral towards Xion to be honest. I admit she never did annoy me in Days and I don't think of her as a total Sue, but I kinda hated the fact that they had to include her in the Deep Dive scene. THAT scene has always been  RIku and Roxas's scene and they just randomly added her in there. It kinda killed the most famous cutscene in the series.

I just thought that she was an annoying character that whined a lot. I completely hated her personality...

To me there is nothing wrong with Xion. But I'll say i didn't like her end. It was probably the most depressing thing i have seen in a video game... 

She's hated because she ruins the Roxas and Axel pairing, and you know how dem yaoi fangirls get...

Ugh... yaoi fangirls are just too intense sometimes... dang akuroku fangirls need to calm themselves. 

in all honesty, I don't see a whole lot of reason why everyone can't accept her. I mean, if you found her that annoying, or a waste of time, her fate was that no one remembered her and was erased from existence. You couldn't really ask for a lot more worse to happen to her and not put the storyline out of whack. On top of that, there is almost no chance she will return. 

 

I however, liked Xion's character and feel that her sacrifice was for the KH story despite how sad it was. My only gripe with her being how many times she ran away for various reasons.... a little irritating.... but I forgave her

Favorite character in the series. She went against what she was made for and willingly sacrificed herself to save a boy she only knew through memories and Riku. She did shat she felt was right.

 

And she went out in one of the most emotional scenes in gaming I have ever seen.

 

 

As for the pointing Keyblade at Roxas - she was running from the Organization. She thought Roxas was there to bring her back. I don't blame her.

 

And I applaud her guts. Facing Axel twice knowing she probably would lose.

Shes favorite my character, I think you need to really understand what her existence within the story is all about.

That dose not include

1.being the cause for Roxas's defection

2.waking Sora

And of course

3.to make Roxas and Axel a trio.

I think what I hate is not her but the whole "return to we're she belongs" business involving her and Sora. I think it's unfair that she had go off and die(or return to sora) in order to wake the guy up. I don't want to blame Sora but...$cew him, yet I don't want to say that or feel that way because let's face it, If Sora was there when he was asleep (somehow don't ask) he would not let things go down the way they did.

3. I don't care what the context is, but whenever you put a girl between two guys and it's hinted that both of them may want to be a little more than friends with this girl it's a love triangle.

They might of wanted to be best friends, nothing else. There is no "Roxas x Axel", it's just your imagination letting you astray. Besides leaving the organization is a big thing, as Kingdom Hearts is about friendship it'd only be natural to make 'a friend' the reason for Roxas leaving the organization.

I love Xion, I just don't understand how people can call her a Mary Sue.

Xion is the main reason 358/2 Days is so forgettable, every KH game had at least a tidbit of information (yes, even Re:coded) that brought the plot forward, but not this game. All important facts were already known since KHII, or more precisely KHIIFM, and 358/2 Days did nothing to spice them up.

We may have more insight in the motivation and backstories of other underdeveloped characters like Demyx, Luxord or Xaladin if she never appeared.

 

That being said I don't hate her or anything, I just don't think she is important enough to get practically her own game when she is written like a numb Kairi with existential problems. When we see her again in KHIII I hope she acquired some interesting characteristics for a change.

Personally, i love xion and her character, but do we really need more facets of sora and by extension kairi?

Roxas, namine, vanitias, xion, ventus(technically speaking, although he is a different person), and if you want to get real technical, anti-form, anti black coat nightmare, armored ventus nightmare...its crazeh
