Ever wonder what happened to Sora's parents? Kairi's? Riku's? In the first game we hear Sora's mom say, "Sora! Dinner's ready! Sora?" Later, Sora dissappeared. The world fell to darkness. But what happened to his parents? Did they cease to exist while the world was consumed in darkness? Did they forget they even had a son?

This wondering came to me when I was sleeping.

Did anyone else find it odd that Sora was completely unfazed by the death of his family?

Never really cared to know.

Interesting.

They should add his parents for more realism. But then again, not much ppl care for Sora's parents.

i guess they're just having dinner without him

In the KH universe, it is moral to screw your family for your friends.  I bet he didn't even tell his parents he was leaving before DDD.

Haha, I hope we do get to see them one day. But I think that when the islands were restored, his parents heart's were too.

One of these days, I'm going to make a techno mix based around Kingdom Hearts quotes.

"Sora, time for dinner!" Will be right before the drop  :D

They're alive, but they just aren't important enough to the story to be shown or really mentioned besides a few off-hand things (like Sora abandoning his dinner or Riku mentioning Sora's dad in BBS). Kingdom Hearts is about the power of friendship, not about family (though r.i.p. his dinner. never forget).Heck, the only reason we see Kairi's grandmother is because of her being an expository device. >>And as for why Sora never really bothers to question where his parents and/or his dinner are... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

They aren't dead. After the Islands were restored, presumably all those who had been swallowed by darkness were revived as well.

I was more concerned with Sora's reaction moreso than with whether or not the inhabitants of the island were eventually revived.

I think Sora assumed that only the play island was destroyed, since that's where he last was, and not the main land. Hence, him also only being concerned for Kairi and Riku, and none of his other friends either, because they were the only ones on the play island as well.

My copy of KH1 didnt have that scene. Can I borrow your copy?

Soras parents are time lords.

Shame on you all for not realizing it sooner.

Maybe he never had parents! *dadada*

The voice he heard could have been his imagination - we never saw his father either, Riku mentioned him, but he was only around 5 years old at that time... so it could be a part of his phantasy, too O_o

Did Sora's parents forgot about Sora during the Castle Oblivion incident?

If yes: What were their thoughts of the sleeping room with a boy's toys?

Father: Hm... we do not have a child.

Mother: Yeah. We are without children, but I wonder - who's that boy on our photos?

Father: Photoshop'd

Mother: You must be right, hunny! Then this room must be-

Another question, why doesn't Sora remember his parents? Why doesn't he miss them. I realize it isn't pertininent to the overall story. But I don't know anyone who wouldn't miss there parents after being whisked away and not being able to see them for a year (or two).

He probably does miss them; of course, when destiny calls, you have to pick up the phone, sad or not. I'm almost certian that he was concerned about his parents, but he was more concerned about Riku and Kairi, because he COULD do something about it. They were whisked away too.
