February 9, 201312 yr Popular Post dude you're 14 like you know shit about the old generation except number one
February 9, 201312 yr I just wish people would grow the frick up, and be more respectful. It annoys me how childish and ignorant people can be.
February 9, 201312 yr Popular Post I respect your opinion but: 1. You can just go to friends instead of communicate with them on Facebook You can still do that, Facebook just makes it easier to communicate. 2. Less violence Nope, there was more violence in the past as well as our current generation. 3. People where more respectful to each other There were disrespectful people and there are respectful people in society. This was the same for the older generations, not an actual difference. Besides from my older friends and siblings IRL a lot more people were actually a bit more disrespectful before than now, but of course that depends on where you live. 4. Bettermusic Opinion, it can be put up to debate. 5. Better video games (That depend) Many of my favourite video games are usually expansions, sequels or additions to older franchises, but then again its a debate and both sides are opinions. 6. More mature people Yeah, that depends where you live and who you are surrounded by. 7. Better behavior Depends where you live and who you are surrounded by, again. I don't know what you are saying about "older generation" when you are actually 14? I mean did you hear stories from adults or something to come to this conclusion? i'm 14 too, but I get my information and opinions based off of some research and from trustworthy adults in my life. February 9, 201312 yr Well, I will have to disagree with number one. It's a lot harder to hang out with your friends once you get past high school. Because I'm in college, I split my time between two towns. My three friends in one all have jobs, and two have boyfriends. There are 2 friends in the town where I got to school, but one of them works 2 jobs and goes to school. Out of those 5, I only get to see one on a daily basis, and that's just 4 days a week. And then there are friends that live in different states than I do. So seeing my friends instead of using Facebook is not an option for me.
February 9, 201312 yr In Brazil, surely the past was better than what we have now. Violence surely was way less than it is now. People stood having fun til 2am, if they do that now, they'll probably be killed/stolen. People respected others way more than they do now. People were more educated -- now I feel like I'm from 20 years ago =/ People were more romantic. Now they just come, kiss and you know.. Here, most of nowadays music is really trash. People used to see each other personally more often. TV was better. Yu gi oh and stuff. I feel a lot like you.
February 9, 201312 yr I agree that the good old days seemed better in some aspects, but there were some pretty disturbing things about that time era as well. No generation is perfect; honestly, I kind of think each one's pretty similar. There's some things I miss from the 90's, but I've enjoyed a lot of stuff from the 00's as well.
February 9, 201312 yr Just hop in a time machine and go back then, if you miss a time where you weren't even born yet.But seriously, you people need to stop complaining about the past and just move on. I'm getting so tired of this megalomania problem with our generation; it's not like the past was a firetrucking El Dorado on its own.
February 9, 201312 yr All generations have their good and bad points. All generations produce quality and crap, socially and in entertainment. I'm a 90s child and I love 90s cartoons and games, but it's not the 90s anymore. I've moved on and adapted, but you're only fourteen; you're too young to have enough nostalgia for a previous generation.
February 9, 201312 yr Nice point of view, but the only thing true about that statement is the facebook thing. (less violence?! What was WW2?!)
February 9, 201312 yr You know who I miss? a Certain two people Edited February 9, 201312 yr by Namikaze
February 9, 201312 yr A lot of this has to deal with who you surround yourself with, and some is just opinions. Well... basically Shana's post
February 9, 201312 yr Nice point of view, but the only thing true about that statement is the facebook thing. (less violence?! What was WW2?!) You do realize World War 2 was around the late 1930's to early 1940's? No one on this site is around that time except Rob.
February 9, 201312 yr Tbh violents was everywhere in any given time And nooo not all people respect each other There were better music but music from today seems better too Vid games were fine from the old times but games advance over the years It depends who is mature or not some people artn some peope are If it wasnt for the rules in this generation we would have bad behivor weither is kids, teens or adults. Back then trust me there was bad bad behivior back then right now there isnt alot but still The past is the past cant go through it again, so u just gotta move forward cuz life is fantastic No but's no if's. Ignore the people around u dont let it get to you, youre being depressive. Edited February 9, 201312 yr by inori
February 9, 201312 yr There's a simple philosophy around this: Things seem better and more exciting as kids. I personally hate modern television, video games, etc in comparison to those of my childhood, but after talking to some kids on my street, I've learned that they'd defend current media against that of the past, any day. Basically, it's the things we grow up with that seem the best. This can also explain why the elderly are reluctant to use computers, why parents dislike techno, etc.
February 9, 201312 yr You do realize World War 2 was around the late 1930's to early 1940's? No one on this site is around that time except Rob. That would be the point of the whole missing the older generation wouldn't it? Ya know the generstion other than ours?
February 9, 201312 yr That would be the point of the whole missing the older generation wouldn't it? Ya know the generstion other than ours? If you were over exaggerating then my bad. If not, because it was a bit tricky to tell, I think the guy was talking about 1980's - 2000. Which had a lot of violence anyways.
February 9, 201312 yr If you were over exaggerating then my bad. If not, because it was a bit tricky to tell, I think the guy was talking about 1980's - 2000. Which had a lot of violence anyways. Makes sense

February 9, 201312 yr Well the previous years my country was in the middle of the troubles so quite violent. But I still miss the old generation, for the fact I'm disgusted hearing 12 year old girls go past me talking about their tryst in an alley with a guy they just met. No You're not allowed to do that when you don't know what a hymen is.
