Kingdom Hearts III Xbox one different mechanics?

Posted

My first thread, Anyways. Not sure if this has been posted yet or something similar but do you think by Kingdom Hearts III Going into xbox one, Do you think the mechanics will be more smooth on the xbox one, or more rough? Or will it just stay the same?

It'll be the exact same on both versions dude.It won't make sense to have the mechanics be different

The PS4 version could have some sort of touchpad functionality.

The PS4 version could have some sort of touchpad functionality.

But I doubt it'll be anything gameplay specific, the touchpad mechanic might be implemented for maybe an extra mini game or for touch-mouse navigation through the menu

Other than that both will be the exact same game

Not necessarily true, They could add some sort of touchpad like atheist said, or something similar to that. But to be honest, i might think it wont change. Square enix hopefully doesn't do anything bad though.

the touchpads things would be for little stuff like mini-games,other than that why build completely different versions on two consoles that has almost identical specs? That will only make the development even harder and will result in more delays

Maybe they can use the touchpad to activate attraction flow.

I guess your right. but i was kinda thinking more of the lines of controls. Like you know RC? (reaction command) like if it would be different since there is no "triangle, circle, etc on xbox one"

I don't see why they would. When you say mechanics, I think general game play. And if anything, there's going to be little to no difference at all. The buttons are probably going to be put in the same locations (as the controllers for the most part have all of the similar buttons), and I doubt there would be any major difference in how the game works at all. It just wouldn't make sense with how similar the two consoles are.

The buttons would change, but not the mechanics.  Press Y instead of Triangle on the Xbone, X-Square, B-Circle, A-X.  That's not really different mechanics just mapping out the controls to the corresponding buttons on the controller, same way if I emulate it on the PC and map the buttons to respective letters.  I doubt they would implement anything on one that can't be done on the other 'cause it'd just cause rage from fans "OMG Why bother multiplatforming when you can do -X- on -Y- but not on -Z-! Why bother!"

No need to cause unnecessary complaints.

It's being developed copletely on the PC then ported down to the PS4 and XBOX ONE so both versions will be identical excerpt for button mapping.

It will have different mechanics. The Xbone version will suck more and play Mountain Dew and Doritos commercials every 45 minutes.

This is uncalled for, seriously. I know many people on here dislike Xbox or M$ in general but this is plain immature just because you dislike another console.

HAHAHA THAT'S FUNNY YOU'RE VERY CLEVER

Nope. From a developer's standpoint, it wouldn't make any sense, the two consoles are already similar in terms of specs. The idea of trying to make a game work differently on two very similar consoles is just begging for another year of development, and that's the last thing anyone wants.

On ps4 you fight Darth Vader, on Xbox one you fight Yoda. Haha, but seriously though: I could see them putting a boss or monster that's slightly different on each system.

The only differences will be obviously the controls, the PS4 has better RAM and the PS4 version will be in 1080p where the Xbox version might be lower than 1080p.

I don't really see a reason for having different mechanics for the xbox1.

It'll have the same mechanics just different buttons to trigger the mechanics; and maybe they will incorporate the Kinect and the PS4 touch pad somewhere in there for different game play actions, or maybe not.
