Recently for a couple of months, there has become a movement of people that have become ''an elephant in the room'' of sorts in my life... 

 

That specific movement says stuff like

 

''Television brainwashes you!''

 

''Screw technology and scientific advancement! Let's look to nature!''

 

''OMG! Your aura is so in sync with mine, let's marry right now!''

 

That movement, is what we call: hippies.

 

Hippies have become sort of annoying to me

 

Do you guys know any hippies, not that i have anything against them, if you want to describe them, please make them anonymous.

My uncle calls me a black hippie because I say dude a lot, I just lol.

And that tv brainwashes you is more in the category of "Reads to many magazines/ things on Internet" people

I kinda agree with the TV thing, but I wouldn't really call it brain washing. TV is really a slave to the ones watching, so it's ultimately the viewers that dictate the programming not the other way around. Only makes it more sad, though. People actually care about all the celebrity gossip and what not. *shudders* I'd think I'd rather them be brainwashed...

Considering the fact that I have friends who are hippies, a mother who is a hippie, and a few hippie-like qualities myself, I am in no position to speak on this matter.

''Rock and roll is the work of the devil!''

 

''Harry Potter makes you a satanist!''

 

Those people annoy me sometimes.

People that say : "WWE includes real fights and it's not good for kids" .

 

Yeah , I've met a lot of those people .I usually ignore what they say but , well , it's their opinion (even if I disagree with it) and I have to respect it . 

My typical response:

 

"I'm not saying that video games made me violent. I'm not saying that I learned really practical and awesome stuff thanks to video games. All I'm saying is that I disagree with your opinion... And that I know at least 32 violent ways for me to kill you and make it look like an accident thanks to Hitman."

I normally just whack them with my Keyblade while jamming out to 'Back in Black', chanting "Expecto Patronum!"

I sometimes feel like throwing annoying kids throught the window, but I surely didn't get this idea from video games.

 

People who become violent are violent because that's their personality.

I hear the first comment sometimes (though only about video games). My response: that's why there are ratings. Of course if you play M-rated video game at a young age, it could leave an impact on you, but you're really not supposed to do that... And besides, kids have always played with toy swords and all, why would games magically turn them violent if those don't?

I wouldn't even take the other opinions seriously. Though I do remember that one woman who wanted to ban Harry Potter books (that was years back, I don't remember the details). Her arguments just didn't make any sense at all to me.

Haven't met any, just closest was a girl who without playing any video games, any at all, declared they were annoying, a waste of time and pointless.

 

And I'd suspect a number of people saying this would be up Frozen's hole

I've was told by the cashier at Walmart I was " Too old for this. " when I bought Defenders of Berk. 

I told her the bags under her eyes were not so bad for a woman of her age, but the grey hairs would need recolouring soon.
