do you think riku and sora are finally going to show that there more then friends in kingdom hearts 3?

I could see it happening. Disney wouldn't object either, they had a lesbian couple in one of their teen sitcoms.

They did? Clearly it's a sign of either the apocalypse stemming from the Disney agenda being different or that Disney is very willing but won't admit it.

 

 

As to this matter: Realistically: Do I think SoRiku will happen? Hell no, not a bloody chance in Hell/Inferno/Underworld. Do I think there will be any pairings at all? No way. As Love is not the main focus of KH. Friendship is. And a relationship between Sora and Kairi or even Sora and Riku would disrupt the whole "Best Friend Trio" thing they've got going and it would make no sense to kill it now in the same Saga it formed in.

 

And if there happens to be a pairing? Well, congrats! Someones dream has been achieved. If it's SoKai? Well, I'm not a fan of it but, if Nomura can do it well, then I can live with it. Especially if Kairi is more well-developed. If it somehow, due to a Planetary Alignment and the Moon turns Blue. that it's SoRiku? Then I'd be pleasantly surprised to be honest. If any other pairing Yaoi or otherwise is used instead/alongside this? Again, pleasantly surprised.

This... This is what I'm afraid of. I don't know why Kairi would ever pair up with her kidnapper, but with the fandom drooling over Axel and really wanting SoRiku to happen, I'm afraid that Nomura would do this just because he thinks this is what the fandom actually wants...

 

Actually, someone suggest this on the other forums and see what happens. Maybe they'll be more receptive to this idea?

I highly doubt it. If Nomura listened to everything the fangirls told him, the FFVII Compilation would be nothing but a male orgy between Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth, and all the other male characters, and the female characters would be dumb bitches or nonexistent. Hell, in KH there probably wouldn't be any female characters period (unless they're in lesbian ships with each other) if the fangirls had their way. He doesn't take what fans say into account blindly, or at least, he probably doesn't read much fanfiction.

 

Shippers grab at straws. I don't understand how Kairi and Axel training together would lead to them pairing up (not to mention it flies in the face of all the SoKai the game throws in ours). There's really nothing to worry about.

if you compare all the SoKai moments to all the SoRiku moments you will see the SoRiku ones are deeper lol

HELL NO! I say this not just because I hate the SoRi pairing* , but because Disney would never allow homosexuality in one of their properties. They'd think it would ruin their "family friendly" image, ridiculous but true, besides, SoKai is already way too established for them to toss it out.

And that broment at the end of KH II? Sora had been looking for Riku for a year while he believed, correctly for the most part, that Kairi was back on the islands. Of course the was more worried about the friend who had lost himself to the darkness and was wondering the worlds alone somewhere, then the friend that was safe at home until a week ago (or however long it was between the time he returned to TLTW and the time he found her again.)

 

 

*It is the one yaoi pairing that i truly can not stand, though I'm not a fan of any Yaoi/Yuri KH pairing (and this from the guy who will believe that Jim Hawkins and John Silver from Treasure Planet where lovers 'till the day he dies)

No, if Riku sees Sora as a little brother, then there's no chance he'd ever even think of hooking up with him, and those lines you posted clearly show that he sees himself as a big brother to Sora.

That being said it's always facinated me how Sora/Riku fans source Sora crying over Riku and not Kairi as the sole reason for an implied relationship. Then those fans conveniently forget Sora spent the entire game fantasizing about Kairi whenever he encountered any romantic situation. Also even more impressive then crying for Riku was when he went completely out of character and got on his knees and begged Siax to take him to her.

I'm not even gonna argue about Sokai vs. Soriku. So sick of trying to point out the obvious. If I thought my best friend was dead and had no idea where they were then yeah I'd prolly cry too once I found her and I'm not in love with her, I love her like a sister which is how I view Sora and Riku's relationship, they're like brothers. Sora constantly fantasized about Kairi, got on his knees and begged to be brought to her, gave up his life for her with no questions asked, drew the paopu fruit in the cave and so on. I would only do those things if it were for my husband. I'm not saying people can't have opinions but it's irritating to me when people are like "NOO SORA LOVES RIKU. ITS GONNA HAPPEN". Just no. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but that is mine.
