Netflix is Making a Zelda TV Show

Featured Replies

Well, there's a glimmer of hope. Netflix actually creates pretty interesting shows.

At least, in my opinion.

Not giving it the chance. As in, I won't even watch it if this is even true.

I was about to post a face palm gif, but after reading the article I'm pretty interested in this. Since it'll be a family show, I hope it's going to be somewhat dark and serious.

Well, it'll give me something to watch on Netflix besides anime and Doctor Who. I hope it's good ^^

"Game of Thrones for a family audience" is like the biggest oxymoron ever, so that doesn't tell us much. I dunno, I'm wary of Western adaptations of Nintendo IPs, they tend to suck ass pretty hard.

Only one blog which I've never heard of which doesn't seem to site a source in the article?

Not saying it's fake just yet, but before I get excited and/or enraged I'll wait to see if any other more official source has any comment on this.

If this really goes through, I'm a little worried. I mean, we all remember the Mario live action movie...

On the bright side, it says that Netflix is working closely with Nintendo on this, so it might not be all that bad. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I can't help but worry this will turn out to be really corny, hopefully I'm wrong though. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out nevertheless.

The “Zelda” games have traditionally included swords and sorcery, like “Game of Thrones” or “Lord of the Rings,” but typically with a more light-hearted, kid-friendly tone.

Pfft. Zelda came before Game of Thrones, it should be switched.

I wonder how there going to speak the hylian language?

I'll give it a try when it comes out.

My only request is that Zelda Williams plays Zelda.

This...a thousand times THIS!

I wonder what Shigeru Miyamoto would think of this.

This...a thousand times THIS!

I read a tweet from her saying that if she does star in it she would most likely play Shiek.
