Should a KH movie be announced, would you be excited to watch it?

I've always wanted a movie of it.  If there was one, it Must be animated, no exceptions.  Sorry in advance if this gives the wrong impression.

I'd be skeptical on how it would turn out since the story structure of KH games doesn't seem like it would transition well to a two hour movie format. I'd of course watch it though. 

I would talk shit about it once the trailers are released then see it as soon as I can.  Then talk shit about after I watched it. Although secretly I'll think it wasn't that bad

Even if it was a live action movie where a Mary Sue long lost sister of Sora was going to marry Riku after visiting Stan Lee and getting a gift from Darth Vader and was made by M Night Shamalamadingdong I would still watch it just because it has the words Kingdom Hearts on it

There's no way in hell they can create a faithful Kingdom Hearts movie. Even if they cut out the worlds that plays no part in the main story it still won't be faithful.

I would be like, the one getting the midnight showing and camping out in line to get the tickets while dressed as Kairi.

i would rather see a Kingdom Hearts TV series it would be hard to squeeze a plot the size of kingdom hearts into 2 hours  

I think that I would first be excited, and then I'd think about everything that could possibly go wrong with it. It would first of all have to be animated. But I think I'd see it so long as the trailers don't look horrible. And I feel like KH would be better as a TV series than a movie. There is a lot of stuff in each game, and I don't think that a couple of hours would be able to fit all of it.

Yeah, same here. Like with FF7:Advent Children. A real life KH movie would be terrible.

Exactly. Why do you think Game of Thrones is a TV series instead of a movie series? Because there's just so much content that can't be covered sufficiently in 2-3 hours. I'd much rather prefer it as a TV series, more specifically an anime. :)Peace!

Back on topic, it would depend on how it would be done. Soo basically judging all the trailers.

Not something that would likely translate well into film, but I'd give it a shot.

May or may not be. It just really depends on what it's about, who's directing/writing/producing, and if it looks any good in general. Not to say that it isn't an interesting idea though!

Yes, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttt.... a movie of the KH 1 game would kinda just be "Yay...woo...yeah..." after the manga series and novel. But doing a sequel film to one of the games, like Final Fantasy: Advent Children did, would turn off mainstream viewers who may or may not have played the games. The only way to really do a KH film and make it WORK would be to do what the Silent Hill films did: loosely adapt the story, with new characters and situations, while being faithful to the game for old fans, but easy to watch with no prior knowledge of KH's storyline for new viewers. Plus it'd have to be animated, use the Kh and Disney characters/worlds, and be long enough to tell a story, like an hour fifty or so. 

Long story short:

I'd watch, but I wouldn't expect much. But yes, go on ahead and make a movie, Square.

i would only go for fight scenes. and if the recoded "movie" has taught me anything is that: square doesnt DO fight scenes anymore

It depends of how it will be.

I would like it to be a Kingdom Hearts X Animated movie or one that isn't supposed to be the game translated into a movie because then it would ruin everything.

I would also prefer an anime of Kingdom Hearts instead of a movie which will be based on the KH Manga. I would totally be excited to watch that!

I can only imagine the story of Days or Chi being made into a movie, but it will probably be bad. The Last of Us and Assassins Creed movies will surely be bad too.

I doubt we'll ever get a KH movie and honestly,even though the series has disney worlds with an abridged version of the movies,I don't think 30+ hours RPG can be condensed into a 2 hour movie

I'd be interested to see how it would be done. I'm not sure if Kingdom Hearts can be adapted well into a film, but if they did a film along the lines of how they did for  Advent Children then I'd be very interested.

 

As much of a Disney fan that I am, I wouldn't want them to adapt Kingdom Hearts to the big screen as I feel they'd ruin it harder than Square would.
