Posted October 31, 20159 yr Happy halloween KH13! What is the scariest thing in KH? A person/moment/heartless/world, it can be anything!
October 31, 20159 yr The thing that always spooked me is during the final fight in KH1, when you are fighting the Heartless and all you can see are their eyes.
October 31, 20159 yr when that guy in Traverse Town has his heart torn out, and vanishes. Also, semi off topic, the woman in Traverse Town in the Kh manga getting her heart torn out ON PAGE, and vanishing into smoke. The only time I thought KH got seriously dark.
October 31, 20159 yr Popular Post Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort Xehanort and..... Master Xehanort. lol
October 31, 20159 yr Terra's posession by Xehanort had me shaking and the whole "every return to the darkness whence it came" after that was so scary in the moment! But then the limgering wull came to save the day Also to mention that in KH2 when the Nobodies came out of nowhere to surprise Sora for the very first time in front of the Twhilight Tower, when Sora got kicked out so suddenly of Pooh's storybook, and the stupid Gargoyles coming to life while heading for the castle stairway; all of this moments scared the crap outta me!
October 31, 20159 yr World of Chaos, maybe. Although Storm Rider is a close second... what?! Look at his face. He's just... smiling at you... it's creepy...
October 31, 20159 yr Halloween Town in KH1. Don't know how, but they really managed to make this world spooky.
October 31, 20159 yr I remember seeing Spellican in 3D was a bit unsettling at first. The way it acted combined with the music was kind of creepy.
October 31, 20159 yr Atlantica in Kh2... It still gives me nightmares... what where they thinking WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING?! LIKE WHAT THE F- Edited October 31, 20159 yr by Nmovies11
October 31, 20159 yr I must say that the scariest thing for me in KH was the Keyblade Graveyard. I mean, think about it, how many keyblades do we see lying there and just how horrible was the Keyblade War? It must have been that horrifying. Going through that world and the theme for it give me the chills.
October 31, 20159 yr Author Fun fact: When conducting his research of the heartless, Apprentice Xehanort gave them living and non living test subjects. As in, he fed the heartless LIVING and NON LIVING people to consume. When Xemnas goes to visit the chamber of repose, (skip to 3:27) notice how there are several sealed doors. Those were where the test subjects were kept i believe. That fact ^ is probably the scariest thing in Kingdom Hearts. It's never mentioned in the games because well...Disney. But it is in one of the secret reports or ultimanias somwhere. The other stuff in KH doesn't scare me at all, besides the world of chaos, that is creepy. Edited October 31, 20159 yr by TheNinjasJoint
October 31, 20159 yr For me, its a two way tie between The Guardian Of Darkness in BBS:FM/HD 2.5 and the Neo Shadows of RE:COM.The Guardian of Darkness is absolutely terrifying! Especially its intro. All you see of it are two sinister red eyes-like something straight out of a horror movie. And then it bursts right out in the open at you. I was a little shocked that something like this actually made it into the finished game. But man, the creep factor is amazing for this guy!Next are the Neo Shadows. Just look at thing! When I first played RE:COM, and I came across these guys, they legit got me nervous. They're so hard to beat, and they're much stronger and stealthier than the average Shadow Heartless. They're about your player's size, which makes them even more scary. They look like demons with their long claws and staring yellow eyes. I think maybe its because they look so much like a human that adds to the scary factor for these guys for me. Edited October 31, 20159 yr by Alicia Maddox
OMG YES! But that whole scene in general was just plain creepy. @.@ Another reason why I prefer the manga's version of the story. ;D
October 31, 20159 yr I agree with Shinobi, I was always wondering what those rooms locked up were for, and after replaying KH1.5 in English, and obtaining the reports from Xehanort, saying he experimented with the heartless and living creatures, it then gave me the chills. Whoah... I'm quite surprised however, that nobody mentioned that Shark jump scare from Atlantica in Kingdom Hearts 1. As a person who has a fear of sharks, the moment I saw the shadow upon entering the ship had me hesitant on moving forward. As if the deep silence of the ocean with the music being stopped was pushing it enough ._. Then the camera angle changes, sort of like Resident Evil style, making you able to get a nice view of that wide open breakable window with a luring chest right in front of it... after seeing the shark come smashing through the window, that become one of the most scariest experiences in video games in my entire life. Now, every time I go through Atlantica in that game... the moment I swim through the next room and seeing that sunken, eerie ship... aww sh*t...
October 31, 20159 yr I have always found the scene in KH1 After Sora is in the cave looking at he and Kairi's wall drawing and suddenly ATSOD appears in cloak out of nowhere and the happy music slowly dies and the mood just feels rather intimidating and frightening. He's voice is so deep and he speaks in riddles. I find scene very creepy to the fact that Sora is all alone in the cave with a mysterious psycho who in reality could have attacked and maybe even killed you while your stuck in a cave.
October 31, 20159 yr This may sound dumb but... The first Darkside from KH1... As a young teen that was terrifying! I had NO clue what would happen and once I saw Sora's shadow morph into that giant mass of darkness alongside the music which suddenly ramped up to eleven... Yeah. I was scared. That whole battle was me just holding my controller in a death grip button mashing haha. Next, this is REALLY dumb but I was fourteen! The Soldier Heartless scared the bejeezus out of me! Their jerky movements and for some dumb reason the swirly symbols on their helmets creeped me out >_> I never did like swirly eyes for some reason (even in Pokemon! Looking at you Spinda!) And for some dumb reason I thought the swirly symbols were the Heartless's eyes which creeped me out further... Yeah... I was a weird kid Also dgdhgdjjd ASOD! YES! I jumped outta my skin when he appeared lol! Edited October 31, 20159 yr by Tsunayoshi
October 31, 20159 yr Probably the moment when riku-ansem just stabs maleficent outa nowhere. That was was just mind blowing for me before i realized she was ok
October 31, 20159 yr Xion turning into Sora before fighting her as the final boss... that was messed up O-O
November 1, 20159 yr Do I need a explanation...I mean look at it!! Look at fricken Ansem! Is the thing coming out from his chest??
November 1, 20159 yr It's already been mentioned, but experiments of Ansem's apprentices and Aqua alone in the Realm of Darkness unsettles me a bit. The Heartless experiments involved suppressing, extracting, or amplifying the darkness in peoples' hearts to the point that they're reduced to mindless creatures. One can only wonder just what the apprentices had done to other human beings to manipulate that darkness. And Aqua's entrapment is more depressing than scary, but I can't imagine walking around a dark, monster-infested plane with no seeming way out, no other human contact, no way of knowing what's happening on the outside world, and, though KH isn't a series that would need to answer such a question, no guarantee where she'll get food and water. Yeesh.
