CLOUD'S IN SMASH!!!!!!

In a very surprising announcement, Cloud from Final Fantasy VII was just announced as a character coming to Super Smash Bros for 3DS & Wii U.

 

No release date was given, but there will be a Smash News event held in December where it is likely to be announced along with other exciting Smash news.

 

The other notable news is that there will be a stage based on Midgar, and it appears that a costume choice for Cloud is his Advent Children/KH2 look.

I was like "Is FFVII coming to Wii U?" and then they threw Smash's logo at me and i was like "oh it must be someone else" then the damn title appeared and I knew what I got into.

Actually, now after seeing that trailer for Cloud. I'm a lot more faithful that a KH character will be in Smash now.

Dude I honestly wasn't expecting Cloud of all people only because I wasn't sure how Square is about letting their characters appear in other games. And I guess you could say KH is proof that's not that case but That was Square going to Disney. I haven't seen too many cases of ___ going to Square and letting their characters appear in their games.

Anything is possible now! Take that, 4th Wall!

Cool, great. He'll make an excellent fighter. Now, how about a 3D remake of Final Fantasy VI while they're at it?

....They just stealthfully announced Cloud Strife like it was nothing. Like it was an enigma. Like we expected it. Like we all just collectively said "ahuh this will definitely happen today." Holy crap, what do I even say. This is...I...uh...wow...I imagine this a Snake situation all over again.

 

This is like ordering a cheeseburger and someone handing you a gold bar....like...I was hungry for something but....how do you even react now that you handed me something of value worth 1000% more than what I was expecting

 

I'm not even mad, this is freaking unbelievable. 

I think this is really cool (not particularly excited since I've never played FF7 before), but I do have one comment...

 

Are they gonna bring some form of FF7 to a Nintendo console? I mean, otherwise the only time Cloud has been on a Nintendo console is through Theatrythm (as far as I know).

I'll like to see Sora, Kairi, Riku and Mickey... Mickey might have a better chance if they want the iconic characters first.

I never though this would ever happen,when I saw the beginning I was like: Oh its FFVII...on Nintendo,what,are they making FFVII remake for Wii U,nah there's no way,maybe its just a port of the original,or maybe...''the Smash logo appears'' NO WAY! this is amazing! His stage is kinda disappointing though,its cool to fight in Midgar and have the summons,but its the battlefield layout again for some reason.

We get firetrucking Cloud and not Sora.OmfgGG Sakurai.

Whoa there Aqua. I mean sure we didn't get Sora but hey this is just as amazing. I don't think anybody expected Cloud to be in Smash even though he is an extremely popular character. But who knows, a KH character might get in Smash bros Wii U/3DS along the road. Don't give up hope yet (:.
