Just remembered something I was actually looking to get some people’s thoughts on. We know for a fact that just over a year passes before Riku heads to Quadratum to find Sora. Timeline wise, when do you guys think KH4 will take place? Entirely during that year gap, with Riku arriving at the end setting up KH5 (or the next spin-off)?

I don’t think they’ll do this, but here’s a random theory I came up with: what if for KH4’s first act or so they do a condensed version of what they did with 358/2 days? By that I mean they skip through that year gap, stopping on days where significant events happened showing Sora’s gradual adjustment to Quadratum life. Then Riku shows up and regular KH shenanigans begin.

I'd prefer if it's after the gap, but, in the trailer Streletzia says "you got here 7 days ago", so, who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if, depending on how long the game is, if it's both.

I figured those 7 days would be used as part of the prologue, like Roxas in KH2

the 7days could be a tutorial

like how MoM game gave a partial storyline extension. the 7days could be like a rift of sora going through some stuff then ultimately waking up finally in quadratum

possibly the bridge between his&yozoras dream battle, to his appearance in quadratum. if you believe the crystal is the true ending that ties in to the story
