It went thru development hell for years, was reduced to FFXV and even then so much content was stripped from it because of Hajime Tabata that it was unrecognizable

1. So after the UX finale, right, we see Lauriam in Dwarf Woodlands and Elrena in Enchanted, right? Well, let's say hypothetically (hopefully) Maleficent really did take her under her wing. Perhaps Elrena goes along with it because maybe Maleficent promises her she'll help her find her friend(s).

Which leads to them meeting somehow, and, maybe Lauriam, who in an ironic twist of fate didn't get taken in by Queen Grimhilde, is like "Elrena you like reek of darkness bro, tf happend?"

Then she's like "bro I did it to find you we can like be friends again, tee-hee" but his conflicting loyalties cause a rift. They forget when they lose their hearts but, since they're tied to each other, they subconsciously remember each other.

Tl;dr mutual pining, conflict, eventual reunion (through contrivance and amnesia)

2. In KH4, maybe they return to Land of Departure since they were technically slain there. Larxene wants to blow that particular popsicle stand, but Lauriam remembers Ventus, which triggers memories (could write it off as since Larxene was only friendly with Ven and Marluxia has the connection to Strel, Larxene doesn't remember immediately) so he stays and tries to get answers from Ven.

Through this it causes a separation of ideals cause maybe Larx just wants to pal around and pull epic pranks on Disney characters, but Marly is like "dude I need to find my sister."

But Larxene, who at this point is a mix of herself and Elrena, is like, "dude she's like, dead bro, you need to get over it."

Then hes like "mother firetrucker this is Kingdom Hearts* *no one* *is dead!"

Which causes them to angrily part ways for a while.

And 3. Basically the second one but replace everything after "tries to get answers out of Ven" with "Larxene is mad jelly because his attention is off her and she hates the idea of someone third wheeling their dynamic, even if it's someone she was friends with."

Cause tbh jealous!Larxene is a great concept that is not explored nearly enough lmao
