Will the whole story of union X be unlocked in the offline theater mode, or only just as far as the player's gotten? Because I haven't quite caught up in the game to the current point.

everything will be unlocked. most of the avatar parts will be as well, since you'll still be able to customize them for the cutscenes

Honestly, kinda happy about this. As much as I loved to follow kh lore since 2002, it became a bit frustrating having to follow a story from 3 different time periods.

No offense to Nomura or anyone who loves Union X and Dark Road, but I'm actually happy and glad that these mobile games are coming to an end. While Union X and Dark Road had good potential to tell some compelling stories and expanding the KH lore, but it was a huge let down when they decided to tell these canon stories on the mobile game instead of on the console systems. Sure it would've taken years to see them on the console games, but it's still better than trying to follow these story plots on the small mobile format. Hopefully these stories can continue on the PS4 or PS5 as DLC's or standalone games.

I'm a little confused, is Dark Road coming to a close as well, not even a year after it was released? This post says it won't be available until Version 5.0.0 in September but are they continuing the game after that, or is that it's permanent offline mode?

It's nice that the story of KHUx is being completed before it ends w/ the online service's end in sight.

It will be permanently offline.

For the fans, this is a good thing. The story is interesting but has been held back by being buried under hundreds of levels of repetitive gameplay and the amount of time between updates really killing the pacing. People jumping on with the story are usually recommended to just watch the cutscenes because of the sheer amount of time you'd need to invest playing for yourself.

I'm kind of relieved, to be honest. I Uninstalled the game a few months back because I'd gotten tired of constantly having to wait for new updates and I found that the gameplay was just so boring and repetitive, so I've been following the updates on Youtube. Now that it's ending, maybe we'll get a console port. Probably not, but it would be cool.

I played nearly it every day for probably the first three and a half years. I eventually fell out of the loop but the gatcha ptw mechanics most likley lead to its downfall. I really enjoyed how much charm there was in the first year or so. Everybody was on a similar level and everything was fair to an extent, but as everything became more p2w there was just nothing in it for me to keep playing every day.

I really hope we don’t get a Union Cross remake on Unreal Engine..... I hope we don’t get a movie either anytime soon.

Please..... let them focus on bringing us new material. ?

Nooooo!!!!!! I loved this game!!! ??

I KNOW me too ??

As someone who's played since launch, it feels kinda bittersweet to see it go. I definitely understand how the drawn-out pace and p2w culture turned people off to it. But I am happy that the offline version will be preserving my favorite parts of the game!

Ok because the difficulty curve in Union X has become INSANE for the story missions. Fighting regular ass cybugs is literally killing me and making me run out of jewels

I honestly am glad KHUx is shutting down, I stopped enjoying the game entirely once PVP had been out for a few months, but I think I will really miss KHUx, especially from it's time as Unchained x. I hope they remake it someday in a non-microtransaction environment so everyone can enjoy it to it's full extent.
