I love FFXV but it's funny that after this long period of development the game isn't even 30% of the size of Xenoblade Chronicles or Xenoblade X(and trust me the Xenoblade games are firetrucking MASSIVE)
Dio Brando repliedPoor Tabata and his team only had a really strict short time of 3 years to convert the mess Nomura was conjuring with Versus XIII into a cohesive game and you can tell that they wish they had an extra year of development
Dio Brando repliedWhereas with the Xenoblade games Monolith Soft had all the time in the world to craft the world and story to a complete package especially with the first Xenoblade which is considered by many the best JRPG of the previous console generation

Sendou Aichi repliedYeah, considering my main issue is Melia's AI, though the AI for other characters is actually pretty smart(you don't want the AI to control Melia, unless you plan on using the command system a lot lol)
The other issues is that Sharla is almost completely useless, and that chain attacks can be too OP.
No idea about chain attacks or party members in X though, never owned a Wii U lol

As for Xenoblade X......just wait for the eventual Switch port(assuming you might get a Switch) instead unless you're willing to get a used Wii U for cheap

It was unfortunate that FFXV had all those things that they seemed to have promised but couldn't deliver. And Tabata was put in a shitty situation and still made a very successful game with what he had. Really desired more, but Nomura definitely left a shit storm. They might has well have started from scratch b
Clouded Sun replied@Shun I don't know how the hell you used Sharla, but Heal Round + Heal Blast + Heat Blast + Heal Bullet + Metal Bullet + Head Shaker was the perfect AI healer for me.
Dio Brando repliedTabata should be praised for the immense amount of effort he and his team put to save this game.Cuz let's be real,what he had to work with regarding Versus XIII was almost an unpresentable mess that never had a tangible built until 2011 cuz prior to that it was just a CG fest from 2006 up to 2009.Couple that with the immense silence and you'll know how much of the game that had to be reworked into a presentable state
Dio Brando repliedPeople might not agree with me on this,but Nomura's work on the KH handheld games might've contributed to the dev hell of XV.He was for the most part directly involved with all of them which means he barely gave XV\Versus XIII the time it needed which explain why before 2010 everything was in CG trailers that told us nothing about the game.All while spending a whole decade cramming so many stuff into the KH series's lore

Dio Brando repliedDetaching XV from the FNC was probably the best decision Tabata and his team made when changing the story.Cuz that was a humongous reason that held Versus XIII back.Not to mention the stigma the XIII games had(no offense to it's fans but critically the trilogy had a negative effect on the franchise)and how convoluted and undeveloped the FNC universe was it was a wise decision to have it be it's own thing

Dio Brando repliedPart of me heavily feared that Lightning Returns's ending would lead to XV and that Lightning became the new "God" of the universe cuz if you remember that ending the setting felt very close to modern-day city

Glad it was detached cuz Type-0 was boring as sin and I think you know what I think of the XIII trilogy by now(except XIII-2 that game was decent)

Gameplay was fine....but the remaster should've been on Vita cuz the formula of the game works more for a handheld than a console release.
Storywise Type-0 was boring as sin.

Finished the second turnabout in the first edgeworth investigations game and I've got to say, it's a very cleverly made turnabout even though it's a spinoff(it barely feels like a spinoff game in all honesty.
