catmaster0116 repliedIt is related to the games lol. I'm led to believe that the film runs parallel to the events of Final Fantasy XV (of which is yet to be released).
What is SW?
Philip Ellwell repliedSupposedly it's only related in a "Explains stuff" way: they're making it so average audiences not familiar with FF can go see it.
SW is Spirits Within, the second FF movie, that tried to be original and not tied to the games, and single handedly shut down Square Pictures.

I remember that film! It wasn't related at all to any of the main series but it was quite a good film that raised a lot of questions
Philip Ellwell repliedIt was also severely hated on release, tanked a whole film company, and hasn't had a new DVD release in five years.
But it's a pretty damn good film, and the novel is slightly BETTER for explaining some more things.
I like that Kingsthing (forgot how to spell it) is trying to be both SW and FF AC: Unrelated enough to be just a good fantasy film, not needing extensive video game knowledge, but tied into the game as a sort of companion piece.

So I've played twenty hours and ten minutes of Final Fantasy VIII, and I gotta say, I've really loved this game so far!

And yeah, the game is definitely really good! I can't really compare it to VII since I haven't played it, but VIII is a great game!

Anyway I dislike sausage party because i've seen the same kind of vulgar jokes on south park and I don't like that kind of humor to begin with. I prefer kubo for many reasons lol
