like the question says. i've heard people saying this until 2012 for goodness's sakes. I for one have never thought that since i was a kh newb. so many dumb theories out there that said that ven lost his memory and became roxas...-__-;

I was actually introduced to Ven first. I haven't had any confusion between the two anyway.

People still do it today.I actually believed Ventus was a totally new character from the beginning. I just didn't know why the similarity was there.

I learned he was a new character really early on. Don't think I ever thought he was Roxas.

When I decided Ven was not nearly as cool

When bbs was announced . I thought it was roxas at first like most

Uhmmm... I never did: Truth be told, with the Vanita's thing, I just figured Square Enix was too lazy to hire new voice actors, or create more than a few new character models.

I didn't think Ven was Roxas. I just kept thinking why the hell they look exactly the same. I now have the answer to that, so I shut up after that.

I think I was reading some news at it's production stage where it was revealed that he was Ven, looked like him and wielded backhanded.  So when I got the game in my hands and was playing I knew from the start he wasn't Roxas

 

But the KH2 teaser at the end.  I thought that was Roxas, in an apocalyptic world were Sora abandoned everyone, Kairi were rebel and dyed her hair blue, they grouped up with a rogue keyblade wearer (revealed to be Terra) and that all 3 were fighting this battle against someone who destroyed the worlds.  I assumed that would have been the plot of KH3 at the time and later in the game they would find Sora, get him involved, but since he left and Kairi partnered with Roxas for the wars in the worlds, that Kairi would have moved on and no longer feels for sora instead falling for Roxas having battled along side him for so long.  I thought it would have taken a more mature theme where there'd be serious romantic conflict.

Fool. When I first noticed Ven was left handed in the Secret Ending of KH2. And that he wielded a keyblade differently.

As soon as they said his freaking name in the first trailer for Pete's sake. I mean seriously, the things people miss.

I stopped thinking he was Roxas the moment Nomura said that he's name was Ven.

I never thought he was Roxas.

I was convinced by a fan in KH13 about that and I realized later

Didn't know people where confused. When I first saw him, it was already revealed that his name was Ventus. No confusion there.

I got confused between the two at first when I first saw them in the BBS intro.

When I went on Google and searched difference between Roxas and Ventus.

I never started thinking Ven was Roxas.

After BBS came out, thats when it made sense

Maybe because they are retards and need to be proven that ven is not roxas?

People seriously still do it today? Oh my good ness. It's already been proven. So many firetrucking times.

 

But to some people even though they knew they had different names. Multiples of newbs and clueless people came up with 'theories' saying Ventus lost his memory and joined orgy 13 and 'thought' he was sora's nobody. ...and bbs volume 2 only made multitudes of that theory.
