The first game for me was Kingdom hearts but, the games that got me back in to the series were 385days and BBS.

Also the series would make sense, but the intrigue and mystery (and through that, excitement) would be missing if BBS came first. It's nice not to have all the answers right away.

KH2......didn't realize there was that Roman Numeral behind the name. I had never been so confused in my entire life. It was like Nomura logic x10.

well I know a few people that started with 2 and never played kh1.

KH BBS.

i played kh1 about a year or so afetr it came out

The first game. 

KH2. 

 

At the beggining I felt like Roxas, who had no idea what the firetruck was going on. Then I played 1 and Chain of memories.

I started with KH2, then got KH1, then Days, then BBS, then DDD, then 1.5 

 

Similar to xoblivion13x I didn't realize they used roman numerals in their numbering and thought it was just a part of the design of the heart.  Either way I'm happy I started on 2, 2 was amazing, and I know a number of people who played 1 and didn't like it enough to continue the series cause the shoddy controls, non-skippable scenes etc

I started with KH2 when I discovered the series by accident during my search for Mario Power Tennis on the GameCube

Kingdom Hearts 3D. I've already gone back and played every other game. Birth By Sleep and KH1 are my favorites.

Kingdom Hearts was my first game in the series, duh. 

 

Kingdom Hearts II was what kept me on the series though. 

Kingdom Hearts 1 was my first. I got it a couple months after it first released. I've played every non-remake game since (Still gotta get 1.5).
