There are manga characters with darker skin and ones in video games too, it depends on the series. Also setting of the story.

Imo they have no excuse. "japanese franchise, japanese characters" EVEN THOUGH MOST OF THEM don't even have Japanese names and I don't think any of them have ethnic backgrounds ANYWAYS so there's REALLY no excuse for nearly every character to be white. That's one of the things that pisses me off the most about the series, lack of skin (and even eye colour wtf why these bitches all have perfect blue eyes) diversity like just ugh

To be fair, it's not like they've never brought a black character into the Kingdom Hearts ga-

Holy shit. They've NEVER had a black character in the KH series. Ever. The only one I can possibly think of is the tall black dude in the Pirates world, but he's just a randomly generated enemy, so that doesn't count. Oogie Boogie doesn't count, either.

I agree Square Enix has to step it up the lack of diversity in skin colour has always been the MAIN thing about KH that pisses me off

To be honest, I don't care about race in this type of thing, and it's a Japanese product anyway, so of course most of the characters in it are going to be Japanese or Japanese-esque.
