Seriously, why is everyone here freaking out about it being on Xbox One and making a big deal out of it? Okay so it's on the Xbox One...SO WHAT? I say more power to Microsoft because they could use some good games other than Halo and Gears of War. Plus, do you guys not realize that this can help Square-Enix gain more sales and a bigger fanbase? Jeez, first people are complaining about it being on the PS4 all because they "can't afford it" now everyone's compaining about it being on a system they'll never want to buy. Seriously, if you don't want KH on the Xbox so much then don't bother buying the Xbox One

 

Why would I fork over $400 just for one game and it's features (do want blu-ray but I can always buy a player), when I can get it on a system I own already.

Why are people obsessed with getting Kingdom Hearts III on the Wii U? I don't have a Wii U. I only have a Wii, and I am very upset that now I have to buy a new system with a gimmicky touch pad if I want to play the new games.

You have to buy a PS4 or Xbox One to get it, so I don't understand your complaint.

I don't own a Wii U so i wouldn't play that version because I've already decided on a PS4.

ugh, the fact that i still see these posts about "lets bring KH3 to wiiU!" is ridiculous, so i figured time to make something to stop these future threads. bottom line, it's not and can't come to the wiiU, why?

 

Reason 1, the graphics. Anyone who has seen the latest trailer has seen just how detailed the graphics are and how great the lighting system is. the wiiU can't handle those graphics, it's only slightly more powerfull than PS3/XBOX1. it can't handle the graphics the game has right now. to put it on there would require the game to be rebuilt with completely new lower level graphics to get it to run on WiiU(something that happened with cross platform games that wen't on the wii) it's too much time and effort for them to do.

 

Reason 2, the wiiU sales. Besides having to remake the graphics entirely, the console is still selling extremely poorly and has a high chance of failing. No sane person could convince the corporate guys at square to put it on wiiU with completely new graphics having to be done, for the small target audience it has available  to it. Now i know some people will say "but what about those who want to buy the system for the game!" Obviously yes, KH is a system seller for some people, but anyone looking at it logically would see that the wiiU version is watered down graphically and possibly feature wise as well(with 8GB of ram on PS4, we could have worlds with no seperate sections that need to be loaded)  and decide to save up an extra 50$ for a PS4 for a better version

 

Reason 3, manpower. lets say reason 1 and 2 don't even exist and console sales and rebuilding the game(and more money needed) wouldn't be an issue. you would need a pretty big second team of people to build the second version, more people would cost more that square probably wouldn't want to do, so people from the main team would have to be broken off to work on it delaying the games release even more.

 

TLDR, it's not coming to wiiU.

We still don't know if these are facts or not because the first trailer we saw was just an early alpha of the game that's subject to change as soon as they show the next trailer

 

And since Watch Dogs is coming to Wii U too and it's as big as KH3 if not bigger,then anything is possible as long as you rain money on 3rd party developers you can sway them easily

Finally! Thank you. However, I can imagine some of the smaller games, like Re: Coded and 358/2 Days going to the wiiU.

An apology? Square Enix have nothing to apologize for. Major FINAL FANTASY and Kingdom Hearts games are not released on Nintendo consoles. It's been this way since Nintendo decided to use cartridges for the Nintendo 64.

 

I realise that, it's just that some Nintendo fans feel entitled to the game since 4 games have been released for Nintendo handhelds. Square Enix might see all the people asking for a Wii U port, and offer up KH3D HD as an apology for the impossibility of releasing the game for Wii U. They don't need to apologise, but they might in order to keep a good image and keep the loyalty of Nintendo fans who have supported the handheld entries.

I think he's talking about KH fans not liking the game being delayed by 6 months in order to release the Wii U and PS4 version at the same time. KH fans want the game as soon as possible so they could either do a split launch (during which time anyone inclined to buy the Wii U version would probably crack under the pressure and buy the PS4 version) or delay the game in order to have both launch at the same time. As a fan of the series, neither of those seem like good scenarios.

cartoonish=/=easy to render, ugh your just as bad as the people on the sims 3 forums. this isn't a simple "oh lets lower the settings" type of thing. these assets weren't made to have lower resolution textures, they weren't made to be able to use less polygons, they were made as something specifically high quality. it would have to be remade entirely which won't happen because it would cost to much to do for too little payoff, and right now square can't afford to just throw money around.

You don;t need to tell us it's not coming cuz we have over 9000 threads saying the same thing since the game's announcement in E3

 

We get it it's not coming to Wii U....let's just move on and fuse this thread with the other ones in one official discussion.

 

And it's not like I'll miss much cuz I'll get KH3 anyway and regardless of how great KH3 would be it won't be the best game ever

 

If anything the Sequel of Xenoblade might end up being better in terms of gameplay
