Hey guy's I was just wondering what your guys opinions we're on if someone were to die in KH3 and how you'd react if it happened

I  personally someone dying would be bad in the obvious sense that we don't want anyone to die (or maybe you do I don't really know lol :) )

But I do think it could be a great chance to advance the plot and incorporate a way to show this supposed more "mature" Sora.

Edit: Excluding bad characters lol :)

It's not even possible to permanently die in the Kh world ^^

Eraqus says hi.

Old fart Xehanort should totally die after the whole mess he did to basically huh everyone. I know they give SOME real reason to Sora to kill him cuz darn until now he just had to fight because heeeeeee's the baaaaaad guy.

Really I mean when we get much more emotion committed in side characters than the three main characters all together is sorta of lame.

I can totally see Mickey dying //sarcasm

Lea *snickers*

Master Xehanort, Young Xehanort, and all the other xehanorts should die in kh3

Yes. Riku should die.

Noooo riku shouldn't die, ;O

Yes, he shall sacrifice himself after it is revealed he is a Xehanort.

You know it's true. :P

Riku was Norted for good since long ago. Sacrifice yourself for the good of SoKai!

I can only see Master Xehanort and all of his vessels dying except Isa. But the people that I would really enjoy watching them dying for good are Master Xehanort and Xigbar/Braig.

Nope. No one should die. :P

Yes. Riku should die.

...........resisting urge to say "you are dead to me".......failing...... xP

Seriously though, I don't think anyone should die, because it's not necessary in this universe. There are other ways to "pass on" in the Kingdom Hearts universe outside of the "traditional way". Plus many of these characters are so marketable that it wouldn't make sense from an executive standpoint. I believe at one point Nomura even says that there is "no 'true' concept of 'death' in the Kingdom Hearts universe", every way a character falls leaves them some chance of returning one day. And anyway, I don't even think "killing" Xehanort is necessary. If they could be creative and find a different solution that works just as well (kind of like how Avatar did), then that would be amazing to see, and it would definitely fit the tone of the series. Of course, going the old-fashioned route and just plain old destroying the guy in typical over the top Square Enix fashion works just as well too. :P

Haha. Better luck next time.

Yes I planning on using nuke so powerful that it will kill all sentient life within the KH universe then people will stop asking if someone will die.

Killing characters is a waste

Killing Riku would be incredibly dumb, and run counter to all the previous games just so they can rehash his lame darkness story AGAIN

Death is what you do when there's nothing left to do with a character, or more you can do with their death, or when you're an incompetent writer who wants to show how edgy and real the stakes are this time

If they kill Lea, that'll be hilarious, if they kill Kairi it's a huge waste, if they kill Riku it's obnoxious, if they kill Sora it's not really important becuase we know Sora will be the hero of the next KH series. If Terra Aqua or Ventus die, what was the point of ending their suffering at all?

no random deaths in KH, please, death isn't really important to it

You guys really want someone to die... :/

Sora, (Not permanently, like a KH1 scenario.)

Isa (Falling by Lea's hand, as sad as it will be.)

Terranort (Terra's heart returns, Sacrificing himself for either Aqua or Ventus.)

Master Riku (I kinda like Sora96's idea)

Donald or Goofy (F*ck it no one likes them anyway)

Master Xehanort (Only makes sense he should die.

If they were going to kill off a main character it would be Riku, he's a really good character but tbh I think I would like it if they killed him off, his best moments were always when he was struggling against Ansem or fighting Sora in KH1 and CoM, the Ansem thing has gotten kind of old at this point and will most likely end with KH3 so they need to introduce something new to keep his story going. Other than that he's just generally the most obvious choice, he's Soras best friend, he's arguably stronger than Sora and people love him, killing him off would just work really well. Nomura has stated that the series is going to be moving away from the 'kiddy disneyishness' of the earlier games, and we're already seeing the games become progressively darker so I think it's possible SOMEONE will actually properly die this time, and Riku is my guess.

I'd say have him

- Permanently turn on Sora and the others, becoming either the new antagonist of the series or a rival for Sora

- Face a new challenge similar to his struggle with Ansem SoD, but with some kind of twist so it doesn't get old

- Die tragically (and permanently) during the final battle against Xehanort, or at least get seriously injured so that it feels like there is some kind of loss

All of that said, the fact that he's the obvious character to kill off means that it's entirely possible that Nomura will kill off someone else just to mess with us :P

I really don't care to be perfectly honest.

-I swear it makes my blood boil when I hear or read that riku should die. It pisses me off so much-

Anyway terra, it's far more logical IMO. And him dying could be his way for redemption and that sort.

Sora's freinds in kh3 shouldn't die. Every except for maybe Siax/Isa should die if death even exists in the kingdom hearts universe.
