Why Sora didn't have a green Drive Form color in KH2/KH2FM?

Posted

It could focus on attacks and only Cure magic and restoring MP bar (MP Hastega ability), like never letting it be empty to be recharged...

Guess they didn't feel it was needed.

That sounds kinda ridiculous tbh..

Maybe not THESE abilities exactly...just something else...

Because green was out of style back then...?

Oh well then in that case I would've really liked to have seen a Green-themed Drive Form. Not sure what abilities it'd have though

I may have read somewhere where there was a form that was cut from the game that was green. My mind could be making shit up. KH2FM already had enough forms anyway so I guess they thought 6 was too much.

With those abilities, it sounds kind of pointless, since Sora was never a character who absolutely needed to support other characters with HP and MP, rather others were the ones supporting him with such. And if he would support himself in this form, it wouldnt practically allow the enemies to defeat him xD

It would be cool to have a green Drive Form, but maybe a different kind of set? xD

This brings up an interesting point, actually. Let's not forget that in the scene with Sora and the three Fairies, that one of the colors they chose for him was green. Now, this might be a coincidence because Fauna (the fairy dressed in green) was the one who transformed his clothes into a green hue. However, I still amuse the chance that green could have very well had the chance to have a Drive Form. As for what it could be? Well, let's wonder. Green isn't JUST for healing or healing properties. The color has also been associated with wind attributes as well, and statuses such as poison. And I THINK it has (for some reason) been associated with Holy. I think FF7's Holy had a bit of a green hue, and so did the Materia. So perhaps it allowed for...maybe aerial combos? Speed too? Something dealing with Light/Wind attributes? I'm also still trying to figure out what kind of Growth Ability that form could have. Anyone want to consider this whole thing, and help me put this together?

I think having six Drive Forms were more than enough for a first title to introduce Drive Forms.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yeah.

No.

That sounds a little OP in my opinion. If you add that color, perhaps people would have started to expect mixtures of colors as well.

Green is not a primary color or a creative color

I see what you did there.

@Topic: It could've dealt mild stunning attacks based on poison?

Green would look awkward on Sora. Plus the colors that are his drive forms are found in this default costume.

I conceptualized a green drive Form for an old KH fangame I wanted to make, Luck Form

Specializes in critical hits and gives multiple Lucky Lucky abilities as well as boosting prize orbs. The attacks would be hard to use though, and sora would only use a single keyblade

It could als potentially have some risk reward type abilities, like halving defense but raising attack power?

Actually, in computer graphics, green is a primary color and Yellow is a secondary that lies between Red and Green.

Master Form handles aerial attacks but I'm sure they could have thought of something.

I would have liked a Green form too, just to complete the Trinity set.

Valor=Charge, Wisdom=Jump, Master=Push, Final=Detect.

Where's Ladder?

If Drive Forms return in KH III it might be a completely different set that has a green form, but then we still wouldn't have the Trinity set because Valor, Wisdom, Master and Final will have been replaced.

I remember thinking there was going to be a green one at some point specifically because it would complete the three fairies color cycle. But gold is way more awesome anyway.

Why not an Aquamarine colored Drive Form? Can't have green and no aquamarine.

Green does not look that awkward on Sora and I thought Green was a primary color? I guess it makes sense for yellow instead.

Green is a primary colour on computers. But generally, it's a combination of yellow and blue, a secondary colour

Green is also a primary color of light, and light's a pretty big thing in KH, sooo....

Being serious though, a green one would be cool to have Red/Blue/Yellow/Green, but I can't think of anything it would specialize in. I don't think speed has been too important in the games, so Idk if that would have worked. Defense? Maybe, but it's kind of a stretch. Also, each Drive Form represents someone or Sora's connection with someone. The forms that are already there take care of Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Roxas, and even Sora's Heartless and KH1 Sora, so who would Green Form be based on? Riku? Goofy again?

I guess Limit Form could've been green, but having the KH1 outfit colors makes sense.

well as I said much earlier, I drafted a green drive form for a fan game I used to work on, a luck form that boosts item drops and critical rates
